Family had a blast climbing the rock wall with the Jurassic Park sound track playing in the back ground. The Anamatronic T-Rex was phenominal, and some super neat displays with a fun gift shop where prices were more reasonable for fossils than what we found everywhere else in town. Staff was friendly and informative.

There was a lot to look at and buy, but because I was not with any kids we did not do any of the offered activities. That being said, the souvenirs were very interesting and we did purchase a few.

If your looking to choose between this museum and Tyrell, nothing beats the Tyrell. This is a neat stop however. Quicker stop than the Tyrell as there isn't as much to see here.

Fossil World museum is a best fit for families with young kids who want to do short interactive activities. Our fossils museum is intended as a supplement for adults and not as a competitor to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Our spacious and well stocked gift store is a must visit. We sell real fossils, authentic minerals and have excellent prices... More

We took our dinosaur-obsessed two-year-old to Fossil World during a recent trip to Drumheller. He had a great time, and I think the facility is well-suited to families with kids. However, Fossil World should consider re-branding itself as a "fun center" and not as a museum, since it lacks some of the scientific rigor of a proper museum. Here is... More

Wanted to visit the Tyrell, but it was closed that day, so we went here instead. It's got a cheap entry fee and some interesting things to see. Best of all is the animatronic T-rex. VERY impressed. Although overpriced, some of the T-shirts in the gift shop were incredible to look at. If you have the funds, pick one up.

Yes we are small in comparison to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. We offer a lot for a family with children. We realize you were without children and came to Drumheller to see dinosaurs and fossils. Our fossils exhibits are 95% real and many are world class. We are visited by many paleontologists each year who appreciate the quality of specimens... More

A pretty good spot with lots for little kids to do - a climbing wall, dinosaur dig where the kids get to keep their favorite fossil, sluice boxes for kids to pan for gemstones and a play area. The animatronic T-Rex is very cool. This spot is a good adjunct to the Royal Tyrell and a good spot for afterwards...... More

Our child appropriate age is 3-12 for the activities. We are planning a complete remodel of the museum this spring right after Easter. There are a number of things that we will be upgrading. I might also mention that our gift store is far larger and with real fossils and minerals. Our store prices are excpetional as well. In fact... More

Lots of authentic fossils, good info from staff and you can spend as much time as you like in the museum. The gift shop has lots of variety and many real fossils for sale at pretty fair prices.

Your response is typical of so many of our customers that do not take the time to write a review. Reviews should be there to help others understand what a business offers and you certainly understand that purpose for Trip Advisor. You also understand it is important to take the time to look at the small fossils we display in... More

Only went in here for the store, but got dragged into "museum" area. Didn't do any of the extra cost items, but kids enjoyed the T Rex animatronic. Not a must do, but if looking to kill time it's fine.

Our museum and activity centre is for families with kids 3-12. If you do not have those then some still enjoy our world's best animatronic T. Rex and our fine real fossil specimens. Over 95% of the fossils in our cabinets are real and many are world class specimens. If you want to see all large dinosaur bones we have... More
