My family and I visited while in Drumheller for the day. It was a great stop. We paid for my daughter to do the fossil dig and she loved it. The rubber pellets look just like sand! She had so much fun. The young fellow manning that area was super friendly. I think the best part was the animated dinosaur.... More

We are all about family experience and although your stop in to see us was short we are step up to cater to that customer as well. We appreciate that you recognize our excellent prices and selection in our fossil and gift store. We just completed a major remodel but the essence of our offering remains the same. More

we went inside but apparently they closed for the year. Only the souvenir shop is still open. I put average cause the shop was nice but next year we visit again & will let you know about the museum itself & hope it is good & better

Yes our retail fossil, mineral and dinosaur gift store is open until the end of October. Most people think our store is a 5 star offering. We have excellent prices and a great inventory. More

Small, expensive but fun! This "Museum" is expensive and you have to pay extra for the rock climp dino dig and gem find! Kinda silly as the venue is really small but the HUGE animated TRex the kids all love !!!

I disagree. Our admission fee is only $6 and $24 for a family and has not changed for 8 years. Where else can you find that? 2016 was once again a record year for Fossil World Discovery Centre. Even the Royal Tyrrell Museum did not beat its record year of 2015 in 2016. Our value must be there for the... More

Fun place to pass time. There are three activities for kids to do. One is mining rocks, it's fun and they get to take a small vial home of them. There is digging for fossils, which you also get to take one home. And rock climbing, although we didn't get to do that as they were short staffed. The animate... More

Our climbing wall was closed due to seasonal schedule not because we were short staffed. We have student staff May through August and on Labor Day weekend. We also have student staff on the weekends. There is not enough demand to justify additional staffing during the week the other times of year. We are closed each year after Halloween and... More

Awesome, 7yr & 14 yr old enjoyed themselves here. Lot's of activities to take in from a climbing wall, fossil dig, gem stone collecting, kids play structure and the must see realistic moving T-Rex.

This is the most common response we get from families visiting Fossil World Discovery Centre, yet few write about their positive experience on Trip Advisor. We had yet another record year in 2016. Thank you for coming and thank our many returning customers for coming back year after year. We will have some big new changes for all of you... More

This place is modern and well kept and is a great stop for kids. This newer attraction is worth it for sure! There are great Dino's to take pictures with in the parking lot and an outside playground as well. There is a bit of a process deciding what to do inside, especially since you can't view any of it... Thanks for coming in and having such a good time with your kids, that is what Fossil World is all about. By the way we have 7 benches in the museum for adults to sit on. 2 at the wall climb, 2 at the fossil dig, 2 at the play structure and 1 at the movie. You should also have... More

Thank you for dropping in. One of the joys of our job is meeting nice people that come in our store who also appreciate and love dinosaurs, fossils and minerals. A lot of people comment on how nice our store is. Few however know how rare and special many of the things we have for sale are. Even fewer really... More

Visited on August 14, 2016. There wasn't many people there, like we saw three other families. My daughter did all three activities and enjoyed everything about then and this place. The staff whom worked with her on her rocking climbing where great. She made it to the top and pushed the button but two staff members had to go up... More

I heard about the rescue. Pleased to hear the staff was performing as they should. Checked our visitor numbers for that day and it was average for this time of year (near end of summer). Our visitors came in two peaks that day, early morning and mid afternoon. The day before (Saturday) was crazy busy. Sundays are typically much less... More

They did the fossil dig and they really enjoyed it. They have some fossils and a excellent animatronic Dinasour. The gift shop is one of the best I saw the whole trip.

Wow your photos are fabulous, nice job you are good with a camera. Thanks for the acknowledgement about our gift store. Our store fossil collection is excellent and we have a number of really impressive specimens as well as more affordable dinosaur teeth and small real fossils. Of course for the kids it is our toy selection that is important... More

We stopped here as an afterthought on our way out of town, but ended up staying a while! Our 4 year old son loved the fossil dig and the indoor play park!! There are many hands on family activities here that really rounded off our weekend of museum and sightseeing! We also loved the realistic robot T. rex! So realistic... More

Thanks for making the stop. Our animatronic T. Rex is amazing for both kids and adults. The reaction of younger children is worth the price of admission. What makes this robotic dinosaur so special is the amazing attention to detail and the complex movements that go on indefinitely without any mechanical noise. The common electric powered animatronic dinosaur can only... More
