I was nervous after such a long time of no diving. But at Ocean quest they are kind and patient. They answer all your questions and they are helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting two wonderful teachers. They are fantastic! Give them a try you will not regret it.

My dad and I recently dove with Ocean Quest. Noah was an excellent guide and instructor. Patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. The shop is located very conveniently, just five minutes detour off the highway.

My wife and I were spending a few days in Vancouver at the end of a trip to Canada and wanted to get a couple of dives in. After some research I contacted Ocean Quest by email and was able to easily arrange a convenient date and organise all the rental gear that we needed. On the day we arrived all the kit was ready and waiting for us and was of a very good quality. They transported us to the dive site and nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent days diving at Porteau Cove with Dale, our dive guide, who was very knowledgable and took us on two brilliant dives. We would certainly come back to dive with them again and can't recommend them highly enough.

Communicated with a few dive companies before coming to Vancouver on holiday the best response I got was from Ocean Quest prompt and informative, explained what I was looking for as a novice diver in a new area and was put in touch with Fabiola who was great. Arranged 2 days diving on this holiday. Picked up from my hotel by Fabiola on the 19th went to Horseshoe Bay and went out on the Topline to the Annapolis and Bowyer Island (crazy crabs) had 2 great dives, were looked after really well by Kevin Breckman of Seadragon Charters. Again picked up by Fabiola on the 24th picked up the gear from the shop and then drove up to Porteau Cove for 2 really great shore dives. The equipment I hired from the shop was in good condition and reasonably priced, I have no hesitation in recommending Ocean Quest if you are looking to dive in the Vancouver area, I would also recommend you get Fabiola to look after you as she was just brilliant.

After 2 learn to dive session on our last Hawaiian vacation my husband and I decided to take the plunge and get Padi certified. Friends had suggested we certify on our next tropical vacation but we thought 1-who wants to study while on vacation? and 2- we live in BC which we've been told has the most amazing cold water diving so lets just do it! I have been driving past Ocean Quest on Canada Way in Burnaby for years so knew exactly where to go. Signing up for the classes was easy and the online course was perfect for out learning needs. Brian led the in class lessons and Paul was our in-pool instructor; there were only 4 of us in our little break-out group. Awesome instructor to diver ratio! We did our controlled environment dives at SFU pool and our open water dives at Whytecliff park in North Vancouver in the middle of February, in the middle of a snow storm! We 'graduated' with our open water and dry suit certification feeling confident and comfortable with our abilities and responsibilities as a diver and dive buddy; something our dive master on our first boat dive commented on after a morning diving with her. We highly recommend Ocean Quest. Greg and the entire crew are knowledgeable, supportive and eager to share tips and stories. I am currently encouraging everyone I know who dives to do their dry suit certification and to dive in our local waters - with a dry suit it really isn't as cold as you think, and the local waters are worth exploring!
