Booked this trip mainly because of online reviews and a recommendation from friends that been with them a couple of years previously. Booked 11 months in advance ( just because I am organised) and it was very easy to do online, and received plenty of communication about the

I went on this tour on the recommendation of a friend. I'm glad I did as it was a life-changing experience. The staff and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The boat was roomy and felt stable. I found the price to be fair, but that's relative. We saw lots of

My husband and I had planned a whale watching trip, but unexpectedly needed to cancel due to a medical emergency. My husband was available to go on the same trip later in the week and he really enjoyed it and saw a few whales. We needed to stay in Campbell River longer than we

Thank you Ann B. It was our pleasure and we are all so pleased you managed to get out on the Grizzly Bear Expedition and hope that you are safely back home recovering well and able to reflect on the more enjoyable experiences of your recent holiday. The Grizzly Bear Expedition is a fantastic experience isn't it. We are sometimes asked which is the best of our tours the Grizzly or the Whale Watching & Wildlife Tours - it's such a hard question to ask as they are such different experiences as I'm sure Patrick will agree. The one thing that is the same, is our teams genuine passion for what they do and their commitment to offering our guests a fun, educational, ethical, safe and professional experience while out on any of our tours. Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting the fact that we can never guarantee sightings or specific behavioural traits such as breaching or foraging as our goal is always to quietly observe marine and land based wildlife in their natural environment doing what ever they are doing at that moment, without disturbing them. Every day is different and it is rare that our marine environment, river banks and wilderness disappoint. Thank you for booking with us and we hope that you will be back one day.

Our Captain was Ted and Caitlyn our naturalist. Both lovely people who clearly love what they do. We saw two humpbacks on the way and Caitlyn identified them quickly as NIck and Stripe who like to hang out together. The misty mountains and scenery on the way there are like

Thanks for that great advice KathrynST - that first sighting of Grizzlies deep in the wilds of British Columbia is something that I know I will never forget. It is fantastic and yes every tour is different. I think I can speak for our team here and for Calvin and our other Homalco guides, when I say they are all rewarding and more often than not, we see or experience something new. Our guests also make each day different, we get to meet and share our knowledge, spectacular environment and wildlife with people from all over the world and to watch their reactions while they quietly observe the wildlife and take in the stunning scenery. You certainly were lucky with your sightings, Grizzly Bears, Elk and humpback whales in one day! Thank you for booking with us, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Fantastic daytour to the Bute Inlet. We saw a lot of Grizzlybears, some with cubs. Unfortunally didn't see whales or orca's, but that's nature... Thank you, captain Ted and the Homalco-guides for this great experience!

Thank you jolandeuenk for sharing your experience. Great to hear you had a fantastic day in Bute Inlet with Captain Ted and your Homalco First Nation Guides - they do an incredible job don't they finding the best possible viewing while keeping you safe. It is always lovely to see the the Grizzly Bear cubs and amazing how quickly they disappear into the bush when one of the big males arrives. While some of our guests are fortunate enough to see whales on route to Bute Inlet, we are dealing with nature and you can't guarantee anything! I will pass on your thanks to Captain Ted and the Homalco guides. Thank you for booking with us, we hope to see you back one day.
