Excellent Tour, We made it a family experience for the group of upcoming birthdays. First of we were greeted by our ships Captain Wayne who went far and beyond for us explaining and pointing out the various land marks and animal life. On route to the bears we seen whales, sea lions, seals and amazing water falls. Once we landed we were met by Stewart our Indigenous guide, his incite and knowledge of the local area was amazing. We took the bus to the bear blinds and for 3 hrs watched and filmed the bears. Unbelievable experience, highly recommended.

Had a really great day with these guys, saw a bunch of bears, got some awesome photos and we even stayed out a little late because we were spotting whales on the way back. Absolutely stoked with the experience.
My only negative comment is that these guys are first and foremost a water taxi operation, so whilst the boat driver was really fantastic, he wasn't a naturalist and couldn't tell me much about the marine animals or birds along the way.
If you're just there for the grizzlies, then no problem but if you're hoping to identify some sea birds on the voyage, maybe not the right people to go with.

Hi LeslieP1024, Thank you for your review. Our drivers are first and foremost, Water Taxi drivers. This being said, they also pride themselves in their knowledge of the area and of wildlife. We appreciate you pointing out this flaw in our tours and we will make a point to improve our drivers knowledge of the marine wildlife and sea birds in the area. Cheers The West Coast Grizzly Bear Tours Team

Wayne, our boat captain was great taking us to various places on route to Toba inlet. On the way we saw a humpback whale, porpoises, sea lions and seals. We were met at the landing point by Klahoose First Nations guide (Kenny) who drove us to 6 different wooden viewing platforms along the river. A great way to get fantastic photos of grizzly bears in their natural habitat. Highly recommend this tour.

Had a great day with West Coast Tours. Seeing the bears at what I consider a fairly close distance was exciting and yet felt quite safe. We had some great photo opportunities and got to watch the the bears go about their day by the river as they caught and ate salmon. The river itself was beautiful.
The driver and guide were very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the land and the Klahoose First Nations.
Seeing the sea lions and whales on the boat ride over and back were a bonus! I appreciated the extra time taken to enjoy that part of the trip too.

Fantastic day. Bears at each of the viewing platforms. You are at a safe distance from the bears but you are still close enough to get amazing photos. The boat ride from Campbell River over to Toba Inlet is a comfortable ride. Beautiful scenery. If you are luck you get to see whales and or dolphins on the way there and back. Klahoose First Nation were fantastic people, telling you stories of the history, and the bears.

Our Grizzly Bear Tour to Toba Inlet was one of the best trips we have done. It was a beautiful day, the ocean was very calm and we did see some humpback whales as well as 6 or 7 bears. It was a very hot day, so it was fortunate for us to see so many. Our boat captain, Dave was an excellent guide and shared many of his stories about the bears and whales. Our other guide, Cheyenne was also excellent at her job and did an amazing job explaining her heritage . And she drove the bus just like a pro!!!!
Thank you Cheyenne and Dave for a wonderful day.

Had an amazing experience! Every aspect was excellent, from our skipper (Wayne) and knowledgable Klahoose guide (Stuart), the lunch (I am celiac & they accommodated very well), the viewing platforms, and wildlife exposure. In addition to several up-close grizzly viewings, we saw a lot of humpback whales on way to the inlet and on the way back. Highly recommend!

My sister and I went on this tour and saw whales on the way to Toba Inlet. The tour was great, we saw bears and there are different spots they take you to, so that you can view from a safe spot. I would recommend anyone taking this tour! Not too much walking involved.

The tour was well organized and our expectations were fully met. The platforms are well constructed and the bears showed up as promised. Plenty of photo opportunities were had. We even saw a whale on the the way. A good lunch was provided at noon. The guides were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in these kind of things.

Dave (our captain) was amazing the whole trip. So much knowledge about the wildlife that we saw and didn't bat an eye at the million stupid questions I had for him. Ken the tour guide once we stopped was also phenomenal and so eager to find us bears. We saw 2 humpback whales, a couple porpoise, bald eagles, seals, sea lions, all on top of the grizzlies we saw on the tour. Great day all together. Its a long day so be prepared.
