This is a wonderful beach! Lots of room to walk and explore. On certain weekends in the summer they have a :"car boot sale" (like a flea market) in the parking lot. You can look up the dates online. Always recommended!

Centennial Beach is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. Lots of spots to walk and sit - in sun or shade. Great facilities - washrooms and food and drink.

Take your kids there for a mild walk out on the mudflats (actually sand) and learn a lot about beach nature. Bring a picnic and spend the day digging for clams and watching the sead creatures. There is also a lovely kids playground. You will...More

The beach has lots of room to spread out. There were approx 40 families there and it looked fairly empty. The facilities are comprehensive, including a place to get some food.

If you ask my kids, the playground is the best part, we have to drag them away. However the beach itself is great, with gentle slope, shallow water, plentiful space. The parking lot will get full before the beach will. The changing rooms for family...More

At centennial beach, pets are not allowed between the yellow flags. This means that you aren’t allowed to take them near the water. There are other beaches which are more dog friendly, but not this one. Spanish Banks West... More

Centennial Beach (4 Replies)
Hi, my family of four (2 kids 10, 8) is intending to stay in barrie for a couple of days to enjoy Centennial Beach. I did not do the research for this trip as my bf planned it all. Is there anything exciting to do in and around this area, if and when the kids get bored at the beach, we will be there Mid-August
