A bit of a scenic drive down dirt and gravel roads and a 10-15 min walk down to the lake but when you get there it is breathtakingly beautiful. And the children's play area is adorable woodland theme playground. Bring a picnic and stay a while.

Last year in an attempt to see all the cool spots around Fort St. John hit up Beatton Provincial Park and were pleasantly surprised by the clean area and places to sit etc. The surprise too was that there is no path around the lake and is very small. All in all a cute place but not somewhere i'd spend... More

Stopped in at Beatton Provincial to snap some photos during a Aurora climax . The gates are closed this time of year into the park but there are groomed trails for cross country skiing , you are also able to snowshoe or hike down to Charlie Lake. There is a parking lot up top. The photo is of the entrance... More

Park has camping and swimming and fishing and a nice group gazebo. Only issue is the bugs are very bad so go prepared.

We used the boat launch and day use area including fishing from the shore. The area was easy to access and the roads were paved including the parking lot. There is a play ground there for families to use if they're camping or using the area for day use.

Had friends coming from out of town and this was a great place to meet up. Easy access to the sites. Some pre-book available. Good playground and nice beach/park area. Just didn't like that we couldn't bring our dog to the park area. Probably because some owners don't clean up after their dogs??? Sucks for the people who do take... More

Beatton Park is a great place. They have everything you need for out door fun. Camping Fishing. A boat launch and picnic area, plus good swimming in the beautiful lake. In winter there is snow shoeing and cross country skiing . What more can you ask for as it is all in a beautiful setting

The park is quiet and a lovely area for a get away . Spent the day out on the lake and the evenings around the fire! Had an awesome stay!

I like Beatton park, its a beautiful setting. It's an older park so a lot of trees. I find the sites a little unlevel, but nothing too serious. Since the park is so old, it was designed for smaller trailers and motor homes, but bigger ones will fit as well. It's close to the water and there is enough space... More

We loved camping here last summer. There are lots of trails to walk, and there is even a large space to have a game of baseball or football. The only thing I didn't like was that Charlie lake gets a little bit grimey from time to time. I'm told it's not a big deal, but I was weirded out coming... More
