We visited this place and the bar next door. Just a pretty bridge over the river with good mountain views. Wouldn’t a special trip for it. But cool if you’re in the area

I believe this is the longest timber constructed pedestrian bridge in Canada. Beautiful Douglas Fir construction and a marvel of engineering. Be sure to read the plaques along the bridge as they tell a wonderful story how the bridge was built.

This is a lovely bridge across the Kicking Horse River which is a milky blue due to the blue clay it runs over. There are cycle trails either side of the bridge and the area around the bridge has attractive gardens with oarking nearby.

If you're into bridges, it's a cool bridge. We were just there and thought we'd check it out. Wouldn't drive to town just for this though.

This is a bridge in the middle of Golden to lead you to walking paths that follow the river. It was a great place to take a break from driving and just enjoy the walk along with the beautiful river complete with fall colors. Don't...More

Reminds me of day of old, a spectacular piece of engineering and quite big. The history of it is also great to read.
