We rented a canoe from Columbia Wetlands Adventures and were given a map for the 2 hour self guided tour. It started off well and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way. However, the trouble started when we tried to make our way back. The water level was high and therefore there were many more water channels than what... More

Dear Matcha m, Thank you for your feedback. We have read your comments, and shared them with our staff. We are all very concerned that this was your experience. The wetlands are very scenic and a wonder to be shared, but they are still also very wild, so navigating can be tricky, as you experienced. The water levels do vary... More

I can't say enough good things about this trip. What an amazing few hours we had! The water was pristine and the views were gorgeous. We were able to explore at our own pace and take breaks as needed. Saw plenty of birds, but no other wildlife (which is okay). The staff was very friendly and helpful getting us situated.... More

Did a self-guided day tour with one of the company's rental canoes. Were well outfitted and provided with a detailed map and information about the route. On the day we went there were some strong winds which, at times, did make for some challenging paddling. However the staff provided some alternative routes in case we found things too difficult. We... More

We visited Golden in July 2016 and were lucky enough to stumble upon the Columbia Wetlands website during our stay. What a wonderful family-run business. They were so helpful and welcoming. Our group of 8 ages 23 - 58 did the 2 hour self-guided kayak rental and it was an absolute blast! For a group of 8 with varying levels... More

The Columbia trench is renowned for the many hundred bird species. The kayak tour I took was not disappointing! The first stop was below a Bald Eagles nest!

Loved this! We split out trip with 4 on a canoe and 2 on the float trip (with guide and power). Such a relaxing couple of hours, and you see so much wildlife.

The location is amazing. I feel like we would have been happier if we had planned to come for the day. We went to SUP and found it was not really conducive to going for an hour or two.
