Can’t beat the price to ride this attraction. There is a posted ticket rate but either it wasn’t adhered to or Covid changed their policy. On the day we rode the streetcar, they just requested a donation. It’s volunteers that maintain and operate the streetcar. All are knowledgeable on the trolly systems history and they come dressed to play the part. You can ride from the Lakeside Resort down to the Lakeside Park/beach area with stops in between. Great family experience and good views of the lake as you travel along. Limited hours of operation.

We thought the Nelson Streetcar would be a perfect way to see a bit of Nelson and start our tour of this lovely town. It was perfect! The gentlemen running the streetcar are lovely and friendly! The trip is inexpensive and can be used ALL DAY for the minimal fee! We HIGHLY recommend anyone to enjoy this hidden GEM! Don’t forget to stop and visit the Streetcar Museum along the trip too! For families with children, there is a fabulous park and food shack at the start of the trip to enjoy as well!!

This is always a highlight of our trips to Nelson. Streetcar #23 is run by volunteers, tickets are cheap and they are good for all day. You can get on and off wherever you like, at one of the stops. It runs from lakeside park to prestige inn, about 20 minutes one way, from 11:30 am to 4:30pm. The conductor let my kids ring the bell which they thought was fabulous. It’s a fun historical ride along the lakefront. There is also a museum which was open noon til 3pm, it is quite small, and filled with old streetcar materials and some souvenirs. The volunteer running the museum was excellent at magic tricks! There is a washroom there also.

What a quaint way to ride along the waterfront. Doesn’t take up much time and it’s unique. $3 per adult

My toddler son loved the experience and the staff were very friendly. The ticket you purchase is valid for the whole day.
