The Visitor Center is in the beautifully restored former railway station. Two old diesel locomotives stand on plinths outside the building. Inside, there are friendly staff and an excellent selection of leaflets about the surrounding area.

The Nelson's Visitors' Centre is in a recently restored building, the old CP Rail Station to be exact. And what a wonderful job they've done! It hosts a restaurant as well as the Visitors' Centre, and has meeting rooms where events are often held.
