Great restaurants, killer shopping, wonderful architecture flamboyant humans. You can walk it again and again not have the same experience twice.

Old world charm in British Columbia. Not strip-mall city, but a real town with a vibrant history that oozed from the lovingly cared for buildings. One could spend days in the shops on Baker, lingering in the eateries, then head up or down a block to do it all over again.

Wonderful to wend our way in and out of shops. Otter Books and Booksmyth used books were both excellent back eddies with very good service. Baker Street Men's Wear was a great place to shop. Reasonable prices, Pendleton, Woolrich, and Carhartt among others. The Craft Connection was an interesting gallery. Wonderful pottery, photography, metal work and more. I felt sorry... More

What a fun-filledarea! We may have strayed from Baker street for a couple of these stops but we weren't really familiar with the area so I'm not sure where we were at all times! We stopped in to all kinds of neat little shops along the way. We tried Sage ( a wine and tapas bar), Finleys (an Irish pub)... More

Baker Street is the tourist hub of Nelson. All sorts of life and color and food and little shops. You haven't got the full experience of Nelson if you haven't taken at least half a day here to look around. You'll find all sorts of treasure. Most recommended.

Worth a walk down the street to see the different heritage buildings. The trees lining the street in Autumn have beautiful colours.

Its wonderful to see a main street in a town actually being used and not run down. Baker street has tonnes of interesting shops and restaurants, as well as the best people watching around! The old buildings have been kept up enough that they are clean, but not so much that they don't have their originality.
