Nelson has done what soooo many towns have failed to do - keep their downtown beautiful and thriving. There are plenty of tourists around, but locals keep it going with restaurants, shops and plenty to do. Love this town.

Good selection of shops, restaurants, businesses along Baker st. Wide sidewalks both sides of the street. Nice hanging baskets & planters help beautify this main street in Nelson. Like how some restaurants have patios that jut out onto the street. Very bike & motorcycle friendly...More

This is the Main Street providing food, retail and commercial businesses. It is a bit of an eclectic mix on the retail end of things. There are one or two nice women’s clothing shops. Banks, grocery and pharmacy are present. There are some good dining...More

Baker street has shopping and restaurant options for just about everybody. From boutiques to sporting goods and Asian food to steaks, you won't go wrong visiting here. Lots of coffee shops, too!

So many diverse shops for all. We spent a great day browsing, eating and enjoying a beer. Looking forward to going back.

Parking is horrible. Had to park several blocks away and walk uphill to get to Baker street. I didn't find the shops were anything great. Restaurants we checked out were expensive and not very good service.

Touted as an interesting shopping experience. Just not there. No really interesting local arts or crafts. Just another small town area.

We had a look up and down Baker Street and it took me back to the days of local store and no big chain stores. I wish more town would do the same. I think Nelson has retained it character very well and Baker Street...More

Several businesses were closed on Sunday. It's definitely not the best day for a full shopping experience.
