Excellent view and flight with Eagles in an excellent trip in the hills and valleys of western Canada. Professional approach to giving visiting pilots and new comers to flight a safe and very satisfying experience.

Having lived in the Alberni Valley it was truly a unique experience to see the sites often traveled by road from the air - not only of the Valley but of the distant East Coast and the islands, Denman and Hornby. The hour spend soaring was something to be remembered! A birthday gift to be cherished! Thank you to people... More

We were very well received as we arrived for our glide. It was so amazing the group of people make you feel so comfortable from the moment you arrive to the time you enter the plane and through the whole experience. During the ride I had a constant conversation with the pilot who was very informative telling me what was... More

We saw the glider in the air from our visit at Sproat Lake. My wife surprized me with glider trip for my birthday. She said it was easy to book a flight with little advanced notice. I was grateful that a staff member greeted us as soon as we arrived at the airfield and lead us to the takeoff zone.... More

On our way back from Tofino, we were looking for something special to do on Vancouver Island....then a young lady told us about VISC in Port Alberni. That definitely got our interest....We called VISC and setting up an appointment for a glider ride was fast and easy. Getting to the airport is simple (just follow the airport sign before you... As an experienced (but lapsed) glider pilot from the UK, I was keen to sample glider flying amongst the mountains of Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island Soaring Centre is a small club near Alberni, with a small group of very friendly folk. My wife and I visited on a hot day in August (zero cloud, and ground temperature over 30C). We... More

This glider ride was a gift from daughter and family for my 77th birthday. Another one of the bucket list. Staff friendly and informative, weather great, scenery fantastic. You should give this a try, you will be impressed!
