We took a round trip on the Frances Barkley from Port Alberni to Bamfield and back. The weather was spectacularly sunny and hot, the seas calm, and we saw whales! An early start (8am) and late afternoon return (5:30) made for a long day, but...More

The Lady Rose (or Frances Barclay) promises and delivers and unforgettable memory. It's an old humble vessel with a crew of characters that takes you up the very long Alberni inlet and, in our case, on a Sunday trip all the way through the stunning...More

We used the water taxi service to access the Broken Group without the long paddle. We drove to Tourguot Bay and prearranged a pick up time. It is about 1-1/2-2 hour drive from Port Alberni, last 15km on gravel. It was easy to load up...More

I heard you can travel to the lodge, stay over and get picked up the next day. Is this an option, how does it work. Thanks Launa

Hi I'm not sure what yo mean by 'the lodge' - and I don't know whether Lady Rose Marine Services picks up clients for the trip on the Frances Barkley. I would phone them directly if I were you. 250) 723-8313
