It was my first time to visit and check out The Enchanted Forest. Since we are staying in Revelstoke for the night, we thought of going here. At first, I was hesitant to go here but my husband insists as it is worth it. The place is kind of big to explore and lots of stories to tell. Maybe it will take you about 1.5-2 hours to explore and take photos inside. Some of the figurines are nice and cute but some look scary. You will reminisce bedtime stories in this place. There is also a gift shop at the end before you leave the vicinity. It is a good place for kids and kids at heart. There is enough parking space as well.

On the way to our next destination, we stopped to visit the Enchanted Forest. From the parking lot, it looked like a medieval castle complete with turrets and banners. After paying our admission, we followed the directional signs that had us weaving in and out of the unique exhibits. From a Mermaid Pond to Mother Hubbard, this magical place has something for every visitor. Wandering along the path through an old growth forest, we enjoyed the many attractions. The “cow jumping over the moon” brought back memories of my childhood. A tall treehouse called for exploration of its many levels. As we strolled along, we caught glimpses of the Sky Trek Adventure Park. After a couple hours of enchantment, we exited through the gift shop and returned to our car to continue with our trip through the Kootenays.

A nice attraction to visit when traveling with young kids.
The forest has many fairy-tale-inspired structures/decorations along the trail that young kids (age < 8) can climb/ride.
If you are traveling with older kids, the adjacent Skytrek Adventure Park might be more suitable, with its climbing walls, zip lines, and net bridges.
As someone else commented, the access to the narrow parking lot is a bit tricky if you are coming from Revelstoke, as you have to turn left across the narrow lanes of a busy highway. It is easier to access traveling eastward.
Our kids had a blast at point in our trip when we all needed to stretch our legs.

We love this place from 40 years ago when I first went as a kid to the several times I have been with my kids and grandkids over the years. This is the 2nd year in a row for the grand daughter and she loved it equally the second time as the first. So glad they survived COVID and without neglecting the attraction. This is a family business that clearly cares about their maintenance. Super easy to enjoy and stay distanced from people. Make sure you are a walker as it is on the hill side although not a long alpine mountain climb. I am certain we will be back again.

It looks like a really nice facility from the parking lot.
Too bad I couldn’t get in in as I’m in a wheelchair. They list being wheelchair accessible on their website I think just to get people to come buy tickets.
I wish I would’ve known that prior to unloading my wheelchair shoulders.
They don’t even have Handicap Parking or Wifi from the parking lot.
Don’t go their if your disabilitied.

We took our 1.5 year old and 4.5 year old here. It was perfect for the older one (Probably up to 10 years of age maybe). Neat things to see all over, easy walking (probably not ideal if you have a stroller), friendly staff, cool gift shop, and reasonably priced. We've driven past year dozens of times, and are really glad we finally stopped now that are kids are of an appropriate age.

Haven’t been here is years and years – but so glad we went! It was great! Picture 3 grown adults wandering around the enchanted forest giggling and snapping pictures at every turn – and that was us. The trails were well groomed, the attractions were both amazing and hilarious at times. Nice little cool respite on a hot day, chance to stretch the legs and get lost in a dream like wonderland. Are all the sculptures accurate? No – and that is the charm of it all! Love the story about the family, and everyone who worked there was so very nice. We had a great time and it was well worth it!

Unfortunately it rained like crazy all the time we were there but it was still pretty awesome. Getting inside some of the little houses will be tough if you are too big but we hid in some to get away from the rain. A nice nature walk park at one point in the park, lots of kodak moments! The price is right too.

Coming from Calgary, for us it's being in this forest that is magical. The trees, the vegetation, its spectacular! The little houses are adorable, the kids love all the characters and ode to nursery rhymes. My 13 yr old said this place is the worst but I watched him constantly run ahead to check out the next thing! The short nature hike is a must do,
gorgeous.
I will always stop in here if I'm driving thru, it's become nostalgic and I always enjoy it.

How long it takes to visit the whole forest. We have a 5 years and 9 years old with us?

It would depend on your children as there is so much to do and see . Usually I would say a good three to four hours give or take . You will love it here .

We are travelling from Vancouver to Kamloops and then over the rockies in late September. Are you located on the main highway? Also, will you be open late September? Thanks
Written July 28, 2018
They were open late Sept last season so I would assume this year as well. Its actually nice and quiet end of September so no lines! They are literally right on the highway you cant miss it! If you are needing a place to stay close by we own Last Spike Lodging Cabins which are about 10 min from the Enchanted forests with beautiful waterfalls within walking distance. We are on airbnb or lastspikelodging website
Hope you have a great trip!

You can set your own pace. You can speed walk through the entire place in a matter of minutes or take your time to view everything and take one or two hours to get through it. I spent probably about an hour and a half there.

The entire thing is wheelchair accessible but there is a few small hills. I pushed my daughter in her stroller and there was lots of room. :)
