The passage up the mountain is marked by the different levels of tree growth and is clearly labelled and shown. There are several overlook points as you go up the Parkway but I would suggest you go all the way to the shuttle at Balsam...More

We were so fortunate to come here on a wonderful clear day where we could see forever. Thanks to the bushfires the sight had not been good the weeks before. We parked the RV and walked up to the main trail and spent the whole...More

The drive up was beautiful and the views up top were amazing! We took the shuttle from the car park so minimal effort for great views 👌🏼

This is a pretty long drive to the top parking lot and even further to the top on the free shuttle. Along the way the weather can change rapidly. We were at the top parking lot just after a snowfall and the view was socked...More

I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said about this place. I would recommend really good hiking boots and or a pole (for those of us on the +side of 60) and give yourself lots of time to explore the many...More

We had to hike the last km to the top because of snow. So worth it! Even though it was sunny/cloudy the views were good but the Forrest was magical. Also enjoyed the viewpoints and a couple walks

We arrived rather late at Revelstoke (around 3pm) but we decided to drive up to the summit. It’s a beautiful route which takes you past several nice viewpoints. On top of the mountain there’s a car parking after which you can continue on foot or...More

This drive is spectacular, winding up from the valley high into alpine meadows at 6100 feet. There are stops along the way for viewpoints and many hiking trails, all detailed in the information sheet you can get at the Parks Canada booth. Parks Canada has...More

We went up Revelstoke on the Meadows in the Sky Parkway. Unfortunately, the weather and fog made visibility practically non-existent. We took the bus to the top and walked around to see the Fire Tower. Most of the wildflowers had already peaked. Definitely stop when...More

A long drive up with opportunities to stop at viewing areas. We all enjoyed the small hikes (not strenuous) and took in the beautiful views. Great information dotted around each of the trails. And a free shuttle to take you from the parking areas up...More

This is different from the gondola. it is a winding mountain road that takes one by car to the top of the mountain.

Sorry I dont know since I was there in August. There is a great Tourist Information office in the nearby town of Revelstoke. Maybe they can answer your question.

Discovery pass (3 Replies)
We are going to start visiting National Parks from Mt Revelstoke NP (Meadows in the Sky Parkway). Is it possible to buy Discovery Pass (annual) at the enter of this parkway? Can I pay by credit card for it? Thanks.

I know they have staffed booths both at Meadows in the Sky and at the Cedar Boardwalk Trail at Mt. Revelstoke. Should be possible to pick it up (as per Joan's post). If you are coming from Vancouver, you could also stop in at Fort Langley National Historic site on your way out of town and get it there.

I think it's very doubtful. There was a lot of late-season snowfall and it's has not been a warm spring. The following was posted by the "Mt. Revelstoke and Glacier NP" social media person on the "Parks Mountain Safety" facebook page: "Second highest snowfall recorded for March at the Mt. Fidelity research station in Glacier National Park - 315 cm of snowfall. The highest recorded season was March, 2011/2012 with 324 cm. The average over 49 yrs for March is 192 cm (since 1965/66). Part 6 – Jasper to Nakusp DAY 9: Yet another glorious sunny day. Today we start our drive to Vancouver. Our plan is to reach Nakusp for an overnight. We left Jasper at about 7:30am and drove back down the Icefields Parkway (IP) to the TCH, turning west towards Revelstoke. One never gets tired of driving along the IP, as each time it looks a little different, depending on the weather and the angle of the sun. It is always recommended to backtrack on the IP for this reason – especially if...More
