We are a family of 4 with two children aged 10 and 7 (8 in a week). The check in was straight forward and informative. The safety kit was handed out and there was a handy changing area. The drive to the start was quick and more info was given. We had some photos taken by a guide which was nice as we obviously wouldn't have our own phones and cameras on the river. Our guide on the river was Sailendra who was great fun and made the experience that whole much more enjoyable, he bought the group together who had never met before and the boys were laughing and also learnt a lot including new languages and skills. Sailendra is a legend! The Rapids were fun and just the right level for the boys age but gave us adults a thrill too. Fun water fights with water guns and hot chocolate and cookies at the end were the cherry on top to an incredible experience. THANKYOU!

The staff at this place was hands down fantastic! They were so energetic and knowledgable. I felt completely safe the entire trip and had a blast. I would recommend this company for anyone who is looking to go rafting in Revelstoke. It was a great way to spend our 10th anniversary!

This was my first time out on white water, and I could not have been more impressed! Cory and Vincente were fantastic guides- informing us of all the relevant safety information while keeping things light and FUNNY! We'll be back for sure. Thanks for a great day on the Chillie Illie guys!

Probably THE worst experience I have ever had with customer service. The manager, Gina, would not honour the coupon we received from a hostel we were staying at and was extremely rude. Didn’t want to listen and or speak about it and kept cutting us off. Absolutely no accommodation whatsoever. No apology for the mixup, nothing. Use the coupon SAVE50 to get 50% off your trip 2h before or SAVE25 for 25% off when booking before. Honestly though, they had 16 spots available when we went so you can probably get away with booking 2 hours before... guess it makes sense it’s so empty considering the service we had!

If you’re looking to coast on water for 2.5h with no waves and spend 200$ on that, this is the place for you. The only positive of the experience was our guide. He was great and made the uneventful trip a little more enjoyable. Otherwise, extremely disappointed and would not recommend. Think twice before booking this “adventure”. Boring, money grab and flat out RUDE!!!

Jess and her partner booked this trip with us 2 days before the date of the trip. When they arrived for the trip, they asked for the hostel discount - and this was the first time we were advised they were staying at the hostel. The 50% Hostel Offer is an exclusive saving available to guests staying at the Revelstoke Backpacker Hostel. The terms of this "Last Minute Seat Sale" are clearly advertised: hostel guests can use the promo code to book spots within 2 hours of the start time of a trip that is already going out, and it only applies to new bookings. This was explained to them by the manager on duty. Then they asked for the 25% Hostel Offer - which is also a promo code applicable to new bookings made by guests already staying at the Hostel, (terms also clearly advertised). Again, the manager explained that the offer was only applicable to new bookings using the promo code. They were not satisfied with this response and asked to speak with the owner. I am the General Manager, and I spoke with Alex (Jess' partner) and again explained the terms of both offers: as advertised, the offers are not retroactive - they are codes that must be used when booking. But again, they did not accept that explanation. I did mention a few times that I was sorry that they did not know about the offer, and that I certainly understood it was frustrating to miss out on a deal. The conversation was fairly amicable and they went on the trip. I followed up with the duty manager and he said they appeared to have a good time and were satisfied. We have sent them a follow-up email advising that we will be sending them a link to download high-resolution images of their trip at no cost - a $20 savings. We are sorry that Jess feels her experience with us was negative.

We had a fantastic time on the river with wild blue yonder. Booking with Gina was great and Cory was a great guide accompanied by Vicente and Adam who were the safety kayaks.
I was nervous to begin with but once we got going I could not have been more thrilled. I would totally recommend this. The little surprise at the end was much appreciated. Thanks for a great day guys.

Was a great experience! I was quite scared and the trip ended up being a bit more cruisy than I had anticipated which was great for me. Staff is great and makes you fell very comfortable! I highly recommend!

There are two companies in Revelstoke and I chose Wild Blue Yonder. This because they seemed smaller, had the least reviews on Tripadvisor and seemed less touristy. This latter was confirmed when we saw the huge group of 'bus tourists' the competitor took to the river (we arrived simultaneously). We on the other hand were with a group of 6 people. Furthermore WBY was CAD10 p.p. cheaper.

I had never rafted before and it was thrilling! They supply all the gear you need: wetsuit, neoprene socks, neoprene jacket, lifejacket and river shoes if you don't have footwear that can get wet. The ride to the river takes about 30mins and you'll be on the river for about 2hrs. In total the waiver signing and explanation, changing, driving, carrying the boat to and from the river and the rafting itself takes about 4,5hrs.
Although the waiver explanation had a bit of artificial/ uneasy humour, everone was very kind and knowledgeable.

Because of this experience I definately want to raft again in the future!

Small group which meant we had a lot of attention and a good amount of time to talk with the guide.

Shame the beautiful scenery was marred by the smoke, such an amazing place.

Well organised and very well run by the team.

Took my parents and kids on a relaxing river float made all the more special because of the low-lying fog along our route...felt like we were floating through a mist.

A big shout-out to all the guides who helped my father (has Parkinson's) get into and out of the boat so that he could share the experience with our family.

A nice treat was the guides took us to Moses Falls prior to the float and took family photos for us. Andre even helped me walk my father up the path to the Falls so that he could get a good look.

Top notch safety, and thoughtfulness showed by all. A definite Memory Maker for the entire family!

Thank you for posting a review about the Columbia Float. It is very rewarding to know that your family had a great experience. Sometimes the scenery makes all the difference. Enjoy the memories every time you look at those photos!
