Have to have luck finding a parking spot across from this lake. We had luck. McQuire Lake Park is located next to a hospital and that's ok. I guess where we parked is at the side of the lake. The lake is just a small circle so about 15 minutes "slow" walk would complete it. At the "main" entrance of the park, you'll find information about the park and a Japanese Gate named "Friendship Gate". There are also people's graves in the ground here. The water fountain in the center of the lake adds "live" to the park.

When you enter the park via the main entrance, you would see a gate in Japanese style, it's called a Friendship Gate. There is a plaque with the handprints and the information of it. And also a McGuire Lake Memorial Walkway ( Commemorate people or events with a brick). It's a beautiful park with a lake and a fountain in the middle. The animals in the park were birds, ducks, heron, geese and turtles, at least those that we've seen. The walking path is good, also for a wheel chair. It's worth a visit.

I absolutely love this place! You can walk around and the grounds are so well kept and the paths are clear and easy parking. Even if you do not stop just the view as you are passing by on the hwy is fabulous. The water sprays up making a wonderful display. The washrooms are close to the hospital and across the pond you can often see ducks and drive slow because they cross the street.

There are turtles, ducks and fish in this little lake. A picturesque fountain seen here between two magnificent Willow Trees. You can have a quiet stroll around the whole lake. This lake is a landmark in Salmon Arm. There are benches if you wish to just rest and observe what is around you.

It's a beautiful man made lake behind the hospital with many ducks swimming in it. There are benches to sit to enjoy the waterfall, reflect or enjoy your lunch. The paved path along the lake leads to downtown.
