We took a classic tour (just under and hour) and became acquainted with the process of making spirits (like being in the best chemistry class). I loved the space, large, views of the sea, comfortable seating if you wanted to linger over specialty drinks. There is plenty of parking and restaurants are nearby to walk to. Many of the spirits are displayed for purchase after your tasting.

Well, we were waiting for our ride out of Sidney Harbor, and had some time to kill. And what do you know? but there was a Gin Distillery right there. So, we had to go. A few very good shots of gin. There were other goodies to drink there too. Totally a great off the wall stop on out adventures. Good gin too!!

The staff are gracious and very helpful. If you are looking for a place to grab cocktail in Sidney would recommend this locale. They have a number of unique concoctions, all of which are very tasteful as well as pleasant to look at before consuming.

Upon entering, the most wonderful aroma greets you...and your mouth starts watering. We had 2 tasting flights, one with gins and one with vodka and rum. Because we didn't make the timing for the tour, they kindly offered to comp one flight (worth$13). We added a hummus plate and a charcuterie plate, totaling $40 or so, including the one flight we paid for. The oaked gin and plain rum were excellent and we purchased one of each to take home. Fun visit and would take friends or visitors.

Stopped in the afternoon and was able to get a spot on the patio. Stunning views and their spirits are wonderful! Try the "Royal Treatment", you wont be disappointed!

I can’t recommend this place enough! We had some time to pass before getting on the Sidney-Anacortes ferry so we decided to stop here and were so glad we did. We sat comfortably outside with an amazing view. The “gin and tonic tasting” ($21) is phenomenal. You get six little glasses- 2 each of three different types of gin. This includes their special Empress gin that is colored purple from flowers! Then you get two different little bottles of tonic, five flavored bitters, and several garnishes. Then you get to mix your own cocktails! It was so much fun. It’s very cool to watch the Empress gin change colors when tonic is added. It was all delicious and we bought a bottle of Empress gin ($54) and a bottle of rosemary grapefruit bitters ($15) to bring home.

We did not do the tour of the distillery but went to sample beverages and tapas on a Saturday night. There was a very nice duo performing music, which was relaxing. My husband had a specialty caesar (which he found a bit spicy) and my mother-in-law had the regular caesar, which she really enjoyed. I had the gin and tonic and it was nice. We shared the salmon pate and the cheese & meat platter. Both were delicious. The service was great and the decor was very nice. We would definitely recommend a visit to this place. It was behind our hotel, the Sidney Pier Hotel and Spa.

If you like finding something new and completely different, this is a great place to visit. It is only 20 minutes away from Butchart Gardens and close to the Victoria Airport. My husband and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. There was a summer concert taking place outside. After we listened for a while, we made our way into this wonderful modern distillery. We sat at the bar and tried two different flights of spirits made here: one was a vodka flight, the other was gin, especially with a taste of the Empress 1908 Gin that is the most wonderful color of blue/lavendar. It is very tasty! I usually don't drink gin, but this was far better than I imagined. It makes a refreshing gin and tonic with a lime twist and an even better chocolate martini made with this gin and their chocolate liqueur. We are so glad we stopped here. They also serve food and have a lovely outdoor patio as well as distillery tours.

What a great way to end a fabulous trip across Canada. We have sampled gin from all over the world and our experience at this distillery is memorable. The staff very knowledgeable and service was excellent. A must try if you are a gin lover.

Liked it so much we went twice. Great for Happy Hour. Especially good if you like gin. Recommend the gin fights, gin and tonics, or the caesar. We didn't have any "real food" (they mostly have small bites to go with happy hour. Great outdoor patio on nice days.
