About West Coast Wonders
We provide guided adventures in Squamish led by local guides who love their own backyard. Our activities range from day hikes to canoe trips to rock climbing. Book with us and we will show you why Squamish is called the 'outdoor recreation capital of Canada', and why it is 'hardwired for adventure'. We are the only operator guiding the classic Echo Lake hike, a real adventure not a mass market tourist trip. The same applies for High Falls Creek and Watersprite Lake. We specialise in trips that are out of the ordinary and take you to the places that are less visited and away from the mass market. Come with us and see what Squamish is really about.

Pat and Sean made my experience hiking to Watersprite Lake super fun, enjoyable and educational. I learnt alot about bears and we even saw a rare canadian snake, as well as bears roaming around in their natural habitat! It was a beautiful day and despite being an avid hiker myself, I really appreciated their experience and probably wouldn't have ventured out there on my own. I will definitely be back for another hike, and would also love to try out a multi-day.

Thanks to Sean and Pat, my fiance and I had a stellar day out. Highly recommend this hike, and honestly, I doubt we would have been able to do this successfully on our own. So glad we met them - they were communicative and friendly. It was in the mid-80s today down in Squamish, but on the trail, the temperature was perfect. The next time we come to Squamish and want to hike, we will definitely be getting in touch with these guides.

I went on the Echo Lake tour with Sean and Pat - what an adventure! The hike requires a good level of fitness and for sure some hiking experience, but as long as you have an adventurous spirit you'll be good. The hike itself is one of the most versatile ones I've done in the wider Squamish area and the views along the way are simply stunning. The lake itself is an absolute beauty and well worth the ascent! Sean and Pat are super knowledgeable and friendly, awesome team! 100 % recommend if you want to do a hike that isn't so easy to access!

Sean at West Coast Wonders is an exceptional guide with years of experience and passion that he loves to pass onto others. Sean and Pat lead our group expedition to Echo Lake on Thursday and his expertise; in depth knowledge of local fauna; and attention to our party's needs was first class. I've had the pleasure of joining Sean on his Big Tree guided tour on Vancouver Island: wherein we saw some of the world's largest trees in and around Carmanah Provincial Park tour, Port Renfrew and Lake Cowichan. Sean's attentiveness and advocacy of the wild in which he tours, is exceptional and his compassionate manner and great sense of humour means he is the perfect guide for either a one-day foray into the much-less frequented but better-respected trails of his local Squamish; or adventurous multi-day trips in the greater Sea to Sky area. Just ask him about the Stein traverse ;) Thank you for an unforgettable excursion to Echo Lake Sean and Pat. Keep up the wonderful work.

Great little hike along the waterfall canyon with some great views over the squamish valley. Sean was very informative, he gave us information about some of the local plants and animals, he pointed out a few other waterfalls and mountain ranges en route and even showed us a great little bar to stop at for a drink! Would highly recommend!
