Located in the historic fire hall building in central Truro. The market is not only known for farm produce, but their list of over 60 vendors, includes those that deal with prepared foods, meat, dairy, baked goods, plants, ornamental flowers, keepsakes, housewares, knickknacks and so much more. The day I went there were about 30 vendors. One of them said it’s busier since more people are getting out. It's worth your time, The vendors here seem really interested in acquiring your business.

I enjoy the Truro Farmers Market on Saturdays. It’s a great opportunity to buy goods such as preserves, maple products, beer and spirits, woollen goods and crafts from local producers. There is a great choice of fresh cooked meals, snacks and speciality baked goods for taking away or eating in. The market community tries to reduce waste by encouraging the use of mugs and plates in a communal seating area.

This market is open every monday at a Truro school. It is quite small and a little pricy but everyone is friendly and the items are very fresh.

had the opportunity to work there one Saturday last year and was totally blown away with the amount of vendors that where there. From the farm fresh vegetables and fruit to the delicious home made pies and treats including breads and home made meals you could either eat in or take it home, just delicious I would advise anyone to attend the market on Saturday mornings even if you want hand crafts it has something for everyone.

This is one of the best farmers market I have ever attended. It is not so big that you get tired just getting around. It is a great size with awesome products fresh, homemade, carved, sewed and alcohol. Fresh meals are available. Love this place♥️

Truro is the hub of Nova Scotia; that is, driving into the province from New Brunswick, you must go through Truro to get to Cape Breton, Halifax , the South Shore and the Annapolis Valley. This means local merchants and farmers find Truro a good place to meet and do business.
The Farmer's Market is at the site if the old fire hall on, right on Prince Street, directly across from St. James Presbyterian Church. In the warmer weather, the adjacent structure (pictured) provides cover for customers to browse.
Fresh vegetables and produce, at pretty good prices, (in season) keep the local supermarkets on their toes. There are also products like maple syrup, homemade sausages, dairy products, local wines, lamb and wool products, ice cream and all sorts of other interesting crafts and products.
There are usually musicians as well, so the atmosphere is really pretty fun, especially when the sun is shining during our late spring and summer months.
If you visit Truro in the summer, drop by - you will find the experience enjoyable.

Great attraction but not enough to do. The venue is too small and can get crowded very quickly. The market needs more space so that folks can move around freely. There is a protected area that is exposed to the outdoors that really should be enclosed to extend the season.

You can get some really great organic food here and it is good to support your local Farmers. The herbs are always fresh and the baked goods wonderful.

Best place in town to get fresh veggies, cheese, jams and jellies, baking, meat, fish and desserts. You can also get a great lunch or a smack. Wonderful sauces for your home made meals, gifts, jewellery, hand made items of all descriptions, flowers and plants in season. They also celebrate the holidays through out the year and is a great place for families.
