A beautiful place to watch the sun go down! You can even watch the ferry come into port from this spot.

We were eating breakfast at a local restaurant planning our day and it was a place we wanted to go. One of the local patrons started a conversation with us and we asked her about it. She also said it was one of her favorite places to go and told us how to get there. We had our GPS, but... More

Worth the small detour from/to wherever you are going. Just getting there on the narrow and twisting road is fun!

We went to the lighthouse on a Friday night after it had closed, and just before the sun was setting. The view was great, the lighthouse itself quite remarkable and they've done a very nice job of the trails around the site. To my eye it is not comparable to Peggy's Cove, nor should it be compared. But it's definitely... More

We really enjoyed our visit here. Spectacular setting with great vistas. Great history, be sure to go in to the gift shop and museum. Good selection of inexpensive and unique, one of a kind souvenirs. It was chilly and breezy though, so bring a jacket or sweater. Don't miss this spot.

Unusual looking "apple core" lighthouse with spectacular views. Wildflowers, tidal pools and cairns all along the most gorgeous walk along the water. Very knowledgeable staff who were friendly and happy to chat with us. Great interpretive panels which explained the history of the light and the surrounding area. A photographers dream.

Our group of 10 travelled out to Cape Forchu on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was a lovely drive from Yarmouth and well worth the 15 minutes. What a beautiful view from the top of the hill. We are so happy that we made the trip. The property is neat and clean and the view is spectacular. We encourage visitors... More

This was a personal favourite spot for my family. The location was beautiful, with a combination of views including the Yarmouth Harbour, Lief Erikson Park and the waves crashing in on the shoreline rocks. The museum is interesting and it was nice to get so close to the lighthouse. In the hour that we were there, the fog rolled in... More

My husband and I took the drive to the lightstation. We enjoyed seeing the homes along the way as well as the views they get. The lighthouse was not too busy so we were able to find parking (there is not much). We walked up to check out the views and they were lovely. There is a small gift shop... More
