A strip of park type peninsula cradling the marina area. The sun and the river combined give it a lush feel. This jet is authentic and one wonders how they few with such a small but powerful fuselage. Go for the walk, the view of the river...the sun seekers who feel the spirit of adventure from a time long past.

I saw the plane from the water. It is a fine tribute to our formerly great air force. A monument to a time when Canada had an Air Force.

Nice place to sit and decompress after a day of meetings here in beautiful Brockville Ontario. Nice place to get out and stretch your legs from a long car ride along the 401 as well. Parking on site, food services and a tour ticket station dot BlockHouse Island. Great for a relaxing "catch your breath" kind of place along the... More

Something to see if you're walking the harbor path. Plaque tells the story of this plane's Canadian airshow history . Nice to see if you're there, but not a special trip.

As an aircraft buff when I see this aircraft in one of our marvelous parks in Brockville I am saddened. I would guess that city fathers forgot that buildings and monuments need maintenance on a regular schedule ; This one time wonderful aircraft on display needs washing regularly as the birds make a mess of it in a quick fashion.... This aircraft caught my eye whilst wandering around downtown Brockville. You have to follow part of the Brock trail to get up close. There's an interesting interpretation board detailing the aircraft's history. A must see for aviation buffs visiting Brockville!

Whether you are a history buff, curious about planes, trains and boats, you are in the right spot! This little area has it all! There are plaques telling about the island, the plane, the railway tunnel and even water sightseeing trips from this area. High powered spyglasses help you get up close and personal with the giant laker-ships as they... More
