I was an absolute "mallrat" back in the day when the mall was new but the big mistake that I think the previous management made was taking out the food court. This place is dying at an alarming rate.
I think what absolutely needs to happen is that that the new management needs to bring in new and upcoming stores just so that there's more variety in this mall.

Well you know when Zellers left and the only remaining large format store remaining is a Sears (also about to close in Canada??) that this mall is in trouble. The owners have attempted to improve the facility by building stand alone stores and robbing the downtown of all of its commercial viability but such poor retail planning that they can't keep the retail outlets that populate the bulk of the mall. You know you are in trouble when the "big" new attraction is a dollar store located within part of the former Zellers and that it isn't even connected to the rest of the mall. Most other successful retail malls have branding, purpose and strong control over the format of the advertising and fixtures within the retail units - well not here! Get with it and hire a serious retail consultant or just pack up and burn the place down! Why would I want to come here for anything???? The best thing going is that the Rainbow cinemas were reinstated from the former movie theatre operation. Come on and try to make this work even if the main street has been destroyed by the predatory business practices of this mall.

We had some free time and decided to stop into the Mall to see what movies were playing. The movie options were limited so we wandered around the mall. There really is not much left here to draw folks in....surprising when Cobourg seems to be thriving. Other than SportChek and a few other stores, I'm not sure why you would come here other than to see a show.

I love everything about Cobourg, except this building they call a "mall". There's about 20 stores (90% of which are terrible), and a movie theatre with 3 screens. Don't waste your time!

This mall is absolutely terrible. Besides GoodLife, the movie theatre and Sports Chek there really isn't much there. Oh there is the way over priced Metro and Sears which is now a warehouse so better than before. I guess the only good thing is the new LCBO in the top of the parking lot. It's an adult candy store 😀. They really need to do something to get stores in that mall before it closes right down.

No flagship store left. More empty stores than occupied. Floor tiles broken, ceiling tiles water stained and run down. Some serious effort needs to be put in to attract new stores and clean it up. Can't even buy a coffee unless you go to the grocery store

This is the closest mall to where I live and I avoid the place like the plague. Just today I went to use the bank to pay some of my bills as I've been a Scotiabank customer over 20 years much to my regret. Upon leaving I was stalked by then accosted by a "security guard" who was hired to replace the previous (& legit) security company that had operated there for over a decade. The man was a thug in a dirty old uniform and far more threatening than any possible mugger. That combined with the non existent lighting and security cameras make the place a high risk area. Combined with the sky high lease rates that have driven retailers out both big and small out for the past 2 decades have left the place empty and echoing. This is long before the current pandemic started. Other than the bank & an overpriced understaffed grocery store the mall has NOTHING of value despite the renovations which are years late and still sitting empty. The mall ownership seems to think that running out tenants and the few paying customers is a good thing.

In short unless you want to get mugged by the mall "security" avoid the place. It's empty.

We were in the Mall yesterday and it was like being in a ghost town only few stores are operating non of which I would consider going into!
The least desired malls in Toronto would out perform this
place unfortunately! Sad!

This mall has been around for years and it’s sad to say it has gone down hill. Very few stores to shop in, sport check, Ricki’s a few other smaller stores. Has a small movie theatre! Not much to see or worth going to. It’s to bad as many years ago it was much better and with the growing community you think they would put some decent stores in.

this mall may be small but it is an important location for this town. It has a small movie theatre, a bowling alley, and they put on great activities for kids about once a month on Saturday. Last week I caught the a baby contest, next weeks the book store is doing crafts for kids. I love the Hallmark card shop, the book store, and Nutrition House.
