What better way to know more about Collingwood than paying a visit to the Collingwood museum. If you take your tie you could end up spending a few hours here. However, you can also easily finish walking through the exhibits in 20minutes. Got to know more about the local and the ships

This museum is free. They ask for a suggested donation of $3 per person. There are many items to look at. It is rather eclectic. Many are related to shipping, but not all, such as a grandfather clock. There is a 15 minute video to watch. It is something to do, but not incredibly exciting. The price is right.

Took some guests here at the beginning of summer. The exhibits are few, and the information quite limited. It hasn’t changed much since it opened. It would be better if it exposed more of the history of Collingwood and less about Shipbuilding.

The music is outstanding. There is no charge for this attraction. Organizers pass the bucket for donations that support music in area schools. There is a beverage tent serving beer, wine and cider. They also sell a sausage on a bun. If you like HOT....try their home made mustard. There is also a family that provides delicious Indian cuisine. A great way to start an evening.

Small, ut well worth spending an hour learning about Collingwood’s heyday as a shipbuilding centre using the u ique “side launch” method of launching completed vessels. The historic photo reel is especially impressive. Follow up your visit by walking the road to Millenium Park and reading the hull plates imbedded in the walkway.
