We spent a good couple hours here which was just about right. Plenty to see and all very interesting. The only disappointment was the train ride which, frankly, was very short and very slow. It's certainly worth the visit but, unless you are with children, I would suggest youj skipped the train.

Visited this museum on a wet Saturday but found lots to look out and lovely people to talk to. Interesting collection of houses giving a view of a pioneer village. Loved the animals, church and farmhouse, complete with fresh scones.

Our family spent a lovely 2 hours here on a sunny but quiet fall weekend. We were the only visitors initially - what a nice change to be able to walk unimpeded through most of the rooms in the collection of historic buildings. And perhaps a ghost or two in a few of the old homes? Well done, good attention... More

I defineatly had a good time. There was so much history and really cool things to see. The staff were neat as they have titles like in the old day blacksmith, baker and so on. Also get to go on a train ride!

If you want to get an idea of how pioneers lived in the 19th century, the Muskoka Heritage Place (park) in Huntsville is an absolute ' must' to visit. There are more than 20 restored buildings to visit and they include some which are staffed to tell you about life in schools, homes and a smithy. We love our public... More

We spent a day here when the weather was not so great, and learnt lots about the history of the area. Our kids got to make candles, dress up as pioneers, have a school lesson and even tried their hands at being a blacksmith!

A really wonderful place. The authentic buildings are complemented by the staff in period costume who are friendly and knowledgeable. So glad we stopped there.

Wow, I had the most wonderful day on this railway and little locomotive. This has to be the best driver experience I have done, in my time I have partaken in a number of steam locomotive experience days and this is right up the top for me. Back at home in the UK I'm a member of a heritage railway... More
