We visited Kitchener City Hall for Christkindl Market. There were so many vendors selling jewellery, christmas ornaments, butter tarts to name some of them. We loved the ice sculpture and enjoyed or visit it though the day was rainy, windy and snowy. There were vendors outside too.

They just finished another reno--hooray! Much the same as before however. The plaza and fountain are a pleasant stop and help set the tone for King St. Unfortunately, there's not much else. Hey, how about putting up a piece of the Berlin Wall? Or a piece of original Berlin/Kitchener architecture? Something beyond just another bland, suburban looking building plunked down in a historical district. They don't care and the thing is, they don't even know the difference.

Okay, town hall may not be the most exciting destination, so we never went before, but it really is beautiful!
We went for the Christkindlmart, and were delighted. Vendors on the street, skaters in front of town hall on the square, hot food booths specializing in the German character of the town and its history, and inside, two stories of vendors well organized, pleasantly displayed in concentric circles downstairs and upstairs (yes there's an elevator!) more to see.
Yes, we'll go again another year.

In the heart of downtown Kitchener with nearby parking and close proximity to lots of restaurants. Many local events occur throughout the year such as skating and Christmas markets in winter and water fountain and Oktoberfest in the warmer months. I really like the bright multi-coloured chairs and tables that they had setup during my visit. Nice contrast to the futuristic architecture of the City Hall building.

during winter we always go there to skate and in summer my kids take their remote toy boats to sail. Also at various times there are multi cultural activities that we enjoy

It was Oktoberfest Sunday and the plaza in front of City Hall was booming with excitement. Lots of activities for all ages, a lot related to hockey. City Hall was open for those who needed to use the restrooms or simply warm up from the cool and rainy weather outside. Huge open space inside. Great architecture and best of all, located centrally and accessible to all.

Kitchener City Hall is a great, central hub for downtown strolls and often have small events that are worth the trip in itself. There are also many quick or full dining options within a short walk too.

I came to Kitchener for Canada Day celebration.. we stayed about 4 blocks away at the Crown Plaza and its a 10 minute slow paced walk from the hotel. I felt safe and the Band was awesome (The Strictly Hip). Fireworks were amazing.
I found people friendly and interactive.. I will gladly come back to Kitchener any time.
My only knock on the event... It's Canada Day and I was in the beer tent and all they had to offer was Bud or Bud light.. I found that offensive. For future years, could you offer a local brewery or even a traditional Canadian Beer?
Overall it was a fabulous experience. And I can't wait to come back to Kitchener.

I need information on where I should inquire to locate a person. This person resides in Kitchener and is (was) an American citizen but since marrying a Canadian may have changed his nationality. I know the location of his last Kitchener residence but that was sold in 2013. His spouse owns a business in Kitchener. This person owes +55,000 $US to his mentally handicapped child in child support.
I do not know the names of the official governmental offices that could assist me in seeking these support payments. The father also goes by an alias in Canada and works "under the table" in the Middle East. He is wanted by the US IRS for non-payment of taxes since 2003.
