Just recently my family and I attended the Pratie Oaten Irish Festival. There is always an event happening with music and fantastic entertainment. A perfect spot for all ages. Worth a trip to see what they have going on.

Was with a group who had rented the theatre for a business meeting. Wow, the theatre was a high quality venue, so intimate but professional. What really struck me and why I have to go back was the beautiful design of the place. There were these rocking chairs in front of a big water fixture. They are in the process... More

We only visited the museum since the outdoor exhibits were closed for the season. At the time of our visit they had an Egyptian King Tut exhibit. The exhibit was very extensive and beautifully presented. Other exhibits (printing, prohibition, underground railway, and more) in the museum were also great. They offer several movie presentations as well. Very highly recommended.

Worth a stop. Nice educational visit on a rainy day. The present displays of King Tut were impressive and put together nicely.

This is a very family friendly venue with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. It appears entire buildings were saved from local demolition and moved to the site. Inside, the facilities are neat and clean. The front staff are friendly. It's along the Grey Road 18 detour about the city core. If you need to quickly get up/down to/from the NBP,... More

Most museum of this kind (focusing on local history) tend to be a bit run down with some generic exhibits on local history. While this topic is prevalent here, this museum is so much more. First of all, while we were there, the museum was showing an exhibit on replicas of famous Egyptian artifacts. The rest of the museum is... More

We attended as part of a historic display of antique vehicles and were welcomed by the staff. I took a lot of time to visit each display and was particularly impressed with the working black smith shop. I leared SO much there. The cabins are really charming, each depicting a certain type of living. I LOVED the indoor displays. I... More

Our family visited here during our road trip as it was conveniently on our way to up north. The price was about $22 for two adults and two youth which was worth it. There were two exhibits and a heritage museum with lots of volunteers who gave us lots of great information about the 1800's- 1900's in Owen Sound. Our... More

Museum was MUCH bigger than I expected. They had six exhibits inside PLUS the outdoor heritage museum. We both liked the history exhibit best (first one on the left). We failed miserably at the "guess what this tool is used for" interactive quiz but it was really fun to play. Seeing the Egyptian stuff was a nice treat. Outside is... More
