Excellent Spot to Learn Something New
Aug 2019
On our way home to Toronto, we stopped at the museum and had a quick tour. We were instantly greeted by a staff who told us about the exhibition (Mr. Seagram and his family, business, passions, good deeds, etc.). Yes, it's very small and some reviewers questioned how it could be called a museum, but as an avid museum-goer, I can tell everything is done well. Also, it's free and opens Tues to Sunday in the summer. I was told that they change the exhibits around every 3 months and the next one is about Food Safety. Being right at the mall (next to the food court) I think it brings a very unique option for shoppers, especially for anyone who is bored of accompanying their shopper-family/friend, they can have a good alternative while still being under the same roof. The tranquility in the museum and the exhibits are very refreshing, just like stepping into a lagoon.

EXCELLENT LITTLE MUSEUM
Aug 2017 • Solo
This museum deserves more credit. It is located in a Shopping Mall and we do not hear very much about it. They should advertise more their exhibits. I went to see the exhibition for Canada's 150th birthday and was very good.

Third trip to waterloo and the mall, every time the museum seems to be closed. Recommend checking in advance when it is open

Fine introduction to art in Waterloo!
Feb 2017 • Couples
Had a very enjoyable and edifying visit to this fine museum in the Conestoga Mall!
We were greeted by a affable, knowledgeable staff member who gave us a primer on the museum, its purpose, current and future exhibitions and how it fits in to the art community in Waterloo, Ontario. The current exhibit of self portraits was interesting, lighthearted and were separated by a theme and accompanied by a quotes. One in particular that was inspiring said that art was of way to connect with others without losing ones self identity. How true! We learned about the corduroy road, from another fine staff member, about its rediscovery, its significance in the history of the region. Since it is located in a mall, there is easy access and fine introduction into the world of art and how it enhances our being, facilitates our ability to connect with other living things world wide and makes our lives more fulfilling! Please visit and support this fine museum. Very Highly Recommended!

Awful to even call this 'room' a museum
Oct 2016 • Family
I believe some of these reviewers are incorrectly marking which museum they visited. There's no charge for entry, it's literally one room that you an Take in in less than 10 minutes, and the hours are atrocious. It's open some weekdays from 9 am - 5pm, so if you work, your done.

Not Too a Much Happening!
Dec 2015 • Family
Stopped in to the museum. A display of past Waterloo mayors.
Can't quite figure out what 3 employees would do there all day.It was nice and clean. We were the only 2 people there. Maybe an uptown Waterloo location would attract more people??

A Little Piece Of Waterloo Park History In One Room!
Jul 2015 • Friends
It is a small one room museum in Conestoga Mall. At this time the artifacts displayed represented the history of Waterloo Park. It was of great interest to me, because it was a place I could relate to. I've gone to Waterloo Park on many occasions throughout my life. Took my young children there, who are adults now, the oldest turning thirty this year. Some photo's were familiar, others showed different structures that moved to their new homes on the property. The old wooden schoolhouse is one example.
Thanks for the memories!
As for food, or washrooms this museum is in Conestoga Mall near the food court.
