I've done a lot of hikes in the Canmore and Banff area during my visits to Alberta....this is still one of my favourite locations. Hiking is fair in effort and the rewards at the top are worth it! Add this to your list of adventures...More

It's a popular lake but I can't understand why the directions are not clear to get here. I struggled for some time going back and forth. If you type in Ken Richie way in your GPS it will lead you straight to the parking lot....More

Beautiful hiking area. Three lakes with trails that are easy or moderate in difficulty. Well worth the visit.

Nice walking trail, peaceful and not strenuous. You can hear water in the distance. Half way there is a beautiful waterfall. Some areas are dangerous, cliffs so be aware.

A nice hike along a well graded road/track takes you up to the Lakes, which have the most incredible colours. Well worth the hike.

We did this hike fairly early in the morning when it was quiet. This is a short hike up to the lakes. Beautiful when you reach them and we'll worth the effort

Yes, as of Aug 22 it's still closed. The Alberta Parks "Know B4 U Go" page lists the current bear warnings and closures.

There were people wading in the upper lake (not sure of the name) as it is deeper but not really deep. Very cold mountain water though! 😊
