as an avid classic cross country skier, I always love a trip to the Nordic Centre in the winter. the tracks that are set are second to none and the grooming is daily. go in the morning as the tracks are usually newer then. gear can be rented for short times (2 hours and above) for beginners or experienced skiers.

The trails through the forest for mountain biking are wonderful. I would suggest stopping at the Nordic Centre before heading out to check for bear warnings in the area. We whent mountain biking the same day a bunch of Grizzly's where spotted at the Centre. Found out the day after the bike ride but luckily we didn't cross paths with... More

On our last afternoon in Canmore, my husband and I elected to visit the Canmore Nordic Centre and go disc golfing. Right next to the parking lot, there is a store where you can rent disc golf frisbees for the day, along with lots of other mountain biking and hiking gear. We rented two frisbees for a total of CAD... More

We were staying in Canmore and on one of our drives back to where we were staying we drove by to check it out. Most of it was closed when we drove by, but a large number of deer were grazing, so we got some great pictures. The scenery was beautiful, as it is in most of the Canmore area.... More

Have passed many times but never looked in and visited today and it was just great. We were a large group for a birthday and were there to mountain bike, the group split in two and the more adventurous hit the trails where the more timid did a couple of loops of the paved paths. The lodge is lovely, staff... More

We recently visited the Canadian Rockies for the very first time and the Canmore Nordic Centre was our first stop. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. We rented full suspension bikes, grabbed a map, got some suggestions and off we went! My 15 year old son was in heaven! Great trails, very well marked. My husband kept up nicely,... More

We have been here a few times. Beautiful set-up. Nice main building with washrooms and place to eat. Great biking and hiking in the area. Worth a visit

I suggest that you trek up to the Nordic Centre so you experience the forest and the views as you make your way to this wonderful reminder of the Winter Olympics. The centre has been well maintained and is in constant use by day trippers and tour groups. There are bears, cougar and elk in the forest so don't forget... More

Rented mountain bike all day for $55.00. I couldn't find a trail map but was itching for some riding so I headed out. My first ride was Get in-Get out (2 km) , then the blue loop (1.5 km). I followed another trail and discovered I was on the Banff Trail to Rundle Riverside Trail Head (14.2 km) in Banff... More
