We drove up to the Nordic Centre for a hike and picnic. There are several picnic tables and a few overlooking the lake with a phenominal view of The Three Sisters mountains. When the sun is setting the reflection of the mountains in the lake makes for amazing pictures! The Nordic Centre is fun in the winter for all your... More

We really enjoyed our two hour hike around the Nordic Centre on trail system. Bear activity was high so it kept us off the Grassi Lakes trail that day but still enjoyed the atmosphere - reflecting on the '88 Olympics, the flags etc. Worth checking out.

After another bike rental place told us they were 'the only place worldwide' who rented out bear spray didn't have any, we checked out the Nordic Centre. Not only do they rent it out, but for cheaper and you can return it later ($5/day and they're open until 7pm). So if you don't want to buy your own canister of... More

As a beginner mountain biker, this was a great place to practice my new skills. There are challenging small courses and easier wider routes. Beautiful way to spend a few hours in Canmore.

My husband and brother spent the morning at the Canmore Nordic Center, they did a 3 hour bike ride. They absolutely loved their morning downhill mountain biking.

My wife and I heard about the Nordic Center and we decided we wanted to check it out. Neither of us ski but we were interested in seeing the facilities and the awards that were displayed for the Cross Country and Biathlon Ski and Shooting competitions from the Calgary Olympics. The buildings are organized to be the communication vehicles for... More

We took vacation to Banff area decide to visit the Canmoer Nordic Park since we are in the area anyways. Due to the bear warning, the trails are closed, so really no much to see or do. There is a lake by the highway near the Centre, we saw people canoeing in the lake, magnificent view. However, there is no... More

Hire a mountain bike at the centre and head straight off on one or more of their extensive trails. No experience necessary, but you need to be fit as the you will be cycling up hill as well as down. Narrow trails lead you through the woods, down into and out of gullies and through meadows with stunning mountain views across... More

My family (kids 10,12,15) got an amazing introduction to mountain biking at the Nordic center. You can rent bikes and try either the cross country ski trails- range from green to black diamond - or the bike specific trails- cut right through the woods. This was an awesome way for the kids to have their first attempt at mountain biking.... More

The place is just wonderful. Very good equipment to rent, we experienced mountain bikes there, and they were in very good conditions. The facilities are comfortable, clean. Unfortunately the cafeteria was closed, we could not have a coffee or buy some snacks and beverages, remembering that it was monday, just after a big event.
