We booked with Snowy Owl as this was the operator that would allow us, as a family of 3 - 2 adults & 1 x 6yr old - to ride in a sled together as part of the Powder Hound Express tour. In order to stay together, we has to drive the sled ourselves which we were slightly apprehensive about... More

My wife and I took a Valentine's Day dog sled tour with Snowy Owl and it was one of the best experiences of our lives !!! They came and got us in Banff and took us to Canmore so we didn't have to drive. My wife did not have snow pants so she was able to rent them from the... More

If you want to drive a dog sled in the Banff area book early. We were lucky to find a spot open during the week we were there. The two hour dog sled trip went by fast but every bit was magical. My boyfriend and I were paired up with a young woman. She drove the sled the first half... More

Great gear, friendly dogs and staff well looked after with a hot cider at the end. Seems short time, but can run with the dogs, so an hour in the driver's seat is enough. Great day out, with a good crew, definately worth it

We (my husband and I) booked the 8hr 'Spirit of the Dog - Dream Catcher' tour. Firstly I would like to comment on the communication aspect of the booking, it was all completed via email (due to us living in the UK) emails were always responded to quickly and clearly, the company provided efficient - well organised admin service for... Had the best time! The dogs are friendly and loved, the only thing I would change is doing a longer trip.

Snowy Owl dog tours was a lifetime experience. Being able to mush your own sled with eight huskies through the mountains was exhilarating! They provide a dog sledding "crash course" prior to mushing your own sled. They have instructors around to help you out at anytime during the tour. Dress warm and be prepared for a workout, you're running with... More

The Powderhound Express was a beautiful way to enjoy a gorgeous winter day in Canada. Majestic mountains, crisp air, passionate people, mystical stories and the appreciation of beautiful dogs and their zest for sledding. It brought joy to my spirit to see the dogs get so excited at the start of their run. The reason I gave this a 3... More

We bundled up the grand children and their parents as well and the six of us onto two sleds had a great time.We only went for a two hour tour because of the young age of the children (1.5/3.5) which works out to 0.5 hour sledding instruction, one hour of stop and go sledding and 0.5 hour warm up at the... We love Snowy Owl! We have become regular visitors coming back for multiple winter and summer tours. We can't get enough of the dogs and staff! If you love dogs there's no better experience! Both the winter dog sledding tours and the summer kennel tours are amazing and not to be missed. The next time we go it will be... More
