This is a wonderful place to visit, especially with children and even grandparents, educational and just a great experience

This is more of a "community" museum than a real life tourist attraction. There is really not much here of general interest. The people are super nice, however, and if it is pouring rain, you could spend a worse 30 minutes.

A small museum packed with information. Very enlightening! I was very interesting to read about all the coal mining that was done in the area. Didn't know there had been so many mines.

Fascinating and well-done exhibits about the history of this town. It was interesting and inspiring to see how they were able to rejuvenate the community after the closing of the coal mine in 1979, so that today they're a sought after vacation destination and have...More

I really enjoy visiting museums, but honestly this one didn’t really do it for me. Specifically, I wish they would give more information about how First Nations were affected by changes to the region as towns like Canmore were developed. There is also an exhibit...More

Smallest museum I've ever been in. Takes less than 15 minutes. Not that interesting for the $7 I paid. Couldn't believe that they would even charge money for what I saw.

We enjoyed our visit to this museum. It's tucked away from the main high street in Canmore. It doesn't open until 12:00. So beware of that. The lady volunteer was very knowledgeable and helpful. The exhibits and artefacts are well displayed and interesting. Some interactive...More
