We gave her a call but she rather wanted us to send a mail so we emailed with all the information she wanted. Then we got a mail back asking for the same information we already gave. We did send it a second time. She got our phone # and promised to call us back to schedule the ride. We never heard anything back ever. An enjoyable 1.5hr ride with great horses! A nice balanced mountain trail including ascending, descending, creek crossing, and a beautiful Athabasca River lookout from the top. Great price and accomodated in short notice! Very doable for beginner (even if nervous which I was).

Unfortunately this didn’t turn out how we wished. Due to go on a river trail, but we were taken on a mountain trail - wouldn’t advise it for some of the group that were beginners as it was quite narrow and steep at times. I had experience riding, and got a newer horse that threw me off twice as he got spooked by a nearby truck and wildlife. I had to get myself checked for a concussion afterwards in a&e as I got a bang to the head on the second fall. I felt there was little concern from the owners and leaders who brought us on the trail after both incidents had occurred. Although you cant predict an animal’s behaviour, I do think how the staff handled the situation was not professional and how a business should be ran. I did end up with whiplash after the fall, and I didn’t receive any follow up or concerns from the owners since. …

There are moment in my life I will never forget - this is one of them! What a breath taking experience for my whole family. Being a beginner rider with 3 young kids (9 and twins 7) we were a little nervous about heading out on the trail. Mary was great and very informative, with the calm horses, beautiful scenery it was simply amazing! (we did the 1.5 trail ride) We are still talking about it at our dinner table week after! You can feel the magic at Old Entrance as soon as you enter the property. A MUST DO!…
