Moon Curser wines are reliably decent and decently priced, and a visit to the winery is always good. The $15 fee includes a logo glass as a momento. Tastings are semi-private, so we were with another couple in a large room, all well distanced from each other and the host. She was knowledgeable about the wine and the winery, sharing the fun story behind the name. Award winning, still family owned, and fun - well worth checking out.

This small vineyard was a delight to visit. $15 for 5 tastings (2 white 3 red) and included a wine glass. Nick was our host and he was personable, full of knowledge on various wines and offered some great recipe ideas. Nick made our visit a very good experience. I’m not a white wine drinker but the 2019 Viogner was so good we bought 3 bottles. Our favourite was the Dolcetto and the cab sav.

A nice setting and easy to find and park. The wine tasted quite good and was at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the people conducting the tasting were mechanical and not very friendly—-measured against their competitors. Maverick Winery was the one we visited just before and they are a great example of how to behave with customers (and they have better wine).
We intended to buy 12 Tempranillo but were very brusquely told “not open” (yes, just those 2 words!) so we bought something else from another winery.

We had been looking forward to our tasting at this winery. The offerings are distinct from other Okanagan wineries with different grape varietals. Wine is subjective. This winery did not resonate with us. The tasting was short- less than 10 minutes and some of the wines we had wanted to taste were sold out. The tasting fee is $15 per person, which is not redeemable against any wine purchase. That fee included a monogrammed Reidel wine glass which also makes it easier for the winery to function in these covid times. The people were pleasant enough, but after tastings at multiple wineries over the past week, and at Nk’mip hours before, this fell short for us.

My first visit to Moon Curser was a wonderful experience. The reds are terrific and they have some wines that very few wineries have the guts to produce. Tannat, petite Verdot, carmanere were among my favorites. Their Tempranillo was a definite favourite. They produce some of the best full body reds in the Okanagan. Our server Stephanie was passionate and knowledgeable about her wines. Overall a fantastic experience.

My Caveat: I review wineries with the assumption all Okanagan wineries are worth visiting because of the wine. So, most of my comments have to do with the other qualities of the place.
This small, family owned estate winery did a lot of things right when it started up. It got a lot of stuff in place that created a well-managed winery that created some of the finest wines in the valley. Tons of awards later, it wasn't thriving as it should. Why? Because they picked a name that was so common it was almost ubiquitous. They called it Twisted Tree. This name was confused with many other wineries all over the planet and evoked nothing original.
So, the owners used those terrific smarts they had used to create this first-class boutique winery producing premium product and made one more very smart move: they hired a professional brand development company. These marketing geniuses came up with what is now Moon Curser. The brand and it's personality is so much fun, I won't spoil it by saying anything here. It is one of the wineries just on the east side of Osoyoos. Go there. You will thank me. Great tasting room, friendly and informative taste leaders, and, guaranteed, some of the best wines you will taste anywhere. Lots of different grapes represented. This is one of my favourite wineries anywhere. - Mitch

I visited this winery many years ago before it changed names to Moon Curser and I regret not coming back to visit sooner. The staff member that helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly and the tasting room had a picturesque view. This is a great place to taste some high quality red wines at a reasonable price. I bought several bottles of red to take home with me. If you’re in the area and you like red wine, it’s definitely worth a stop.

My brother knows this wine from previous visits, so he enjoyed tasting and purchasing a number of bottles. I only had a wee taste of a red aged in American oak. Very friendly tasting room with savvy staff. The view from vineyard is lovely. The one I can describe is a Tempranillo, and tastes very different from the Argentinian variety.

Spent an hour with chris tasting wines and talking about the winery.
Some the best reds in the area in my opinion.
Took a bottle of Syrah and their Dead of Night home.
Look forward to our next visit.
