We have never picked our own produce but the store is fun. Fruits and vegetables in season are always fresh. The bakery and shop are fantastic. They have a great assortment of jams, condiments and treats for everyone. It can be a bit pricey if you don't watch out - well worth the trip to spend a bit of time,... More

Whittamore's Farm has been in the family for over 50 years. Going there is a lot of family fun. Start off with Strawberry Picking and end up at Halloween and a fabulous array of decorations, games and fun for the family to share. You can buy all kinds of vegetables, pies, pastries and other things that are made there. The... More

Whittamore's is great for picking peppers, berries, pumpkins, etc... But make sure you call to see how the picking is. We took my in-laws to pick strawberries and when we got there they had a sign that said it was "slow picking" today. To get it, you have to pay $5 / person, but you get that back on whatever... While there are lots of activities for children, this is not the place the place to go, if you are looking for organic berries. Since berries are among the "dirty dozen" (foods you should always prioritize buying organic), maybe there's a reason why Whitmore's has chosen children's amusements over revamping their farming style. You know you're going to buy berries... More

Whittamore's has a superb selection of fruits and vegetables in season, wonderful pies, and is an ideal spot to bring the kids for a hay wagon ride in the fall. They also have pick your own berries and great local honey.

This is our every summer a must-to-do thing: picking fresh strawberries and raspberries; it's almost a family tradition now.

It is a very lovely place to pick your strawberries with your family while you enjoy the beautiful sky and green landscape. Make sure to go early ro avoid the crowd in pick season.

I have been there once with my daughter. She has also gone twice before on school trips and loves it. They have playgrounds, a corn maze and some other activity places for children. The last time she came home from the trip with a pumpkin. They also have a few farm animals there, old water pumps and interesting photo-taking opportunities.

Now here is chance to wander, shop...even drive to pick your own...and a great place for kids. Great produce, baked goods, local recipes and all high quality. Not only is it more fun than the local store, but it is fresh and affordable.
