Hard Work - Worth the Effort

Take water and wear appropriate footwear. This isn't a stroll in the park. I'm a big guy and did it in under 2hrs. Great feeling once your at the top!

It's quite a trek and you need to be reasonably fit. Do carry a bottle of water and enjoy the view and a beer up above after the workout

I climbed it in sixth grade for charity. The " Whistler One Climb" where we raised money for clean drinking water! It was difficult let me tell you, but SO worth it. On a related note we raised 16 hundred dollars!

I did this on a Monday July 27, 2015 so it wasn't extremely busy. Parking was troublesome taking a tour bus or mass transit might have been better. As it was parking is metered the automated terminal in the Lot wasn't working but they sell parking vouchers for your cars dashboard in the main office where you buy a Lift... More

The view at the top is well worth hiking. Pick a sunny day if you can. No need to rush. Take your time and you will be there!

My second Grind & brought a friend for the hike. It is always tough but rewarding. Not for everyone but good if you like a challenge. Non-hikers can meet you at the top of the gondola.

While visiting Vancouver I decided to take the hike up the grind to see the view that everyone had been talking about! Definitely worth it! I recommend getting there early as possible as it can get quite crowded during the late morning and afternoon. The hike up is quite difficult and I highly recommend lots of water, good running shoes,... More

If you are looking for a physical challenge, look no further than the grouse grind. As opposed to a lot of the other hikes in Vancouver (Dog mountain, deep cove), the grouse grind presents a significant challenge. Most of the way, you will be travelling upwards and horizontal regions come few and far between. The view at the top is... More

This climb is a great challenge and a lot of hard work and really requires a reasonable degree of physical fitness. It is a steep uphill climb the whole way, so make sure you have plenty of water and some snacks with you. We did it on a hot day and when we reached the top noticed a climber who... More

If you are looking for a good hike this is your climb. My wife and I who are very active thoroughly enjoyed this experience. That's not to say it wasn't difficult. The trail is well maintained, but there is still loose rock and it can be slippery in places. Luckily you are shaded from the sun during the climb. However,... More
