You have to be in a good shape to do the whole Grind, where a good pair of shoes. I have seen a lot of people rescued because they thought they could do it. Don't take a chance.

The Grouse Grind is a great, unique thing to do on a trip to Vancouver. As a 24 y/o who exercises daily, this was a tough workout, yet I believe it is manageable for anyone who stays in shape. Despite finishing in a relatively good...More

The grind is awesome! If you're visiting Van or a resident, this is a great way to push your fitness level to the max. Be warned, if you've spent the last 6 months sitting on the couch this will be beyond difficult! I run great...More

We went to Grouse Mountain just to do the Grind! It was tough, it was fun and it was absolutely gorgeous. We took it slow and easy, but I'd love to go back and do it again. Only for the seriously fit though.

This is a great workout. If you hike or workout regularly, you will be fine. Just bring water and money. There are a lot of people doing this hike, so it's not exactly peaceful, it can be noisy, and if you're the same pace as...More

I saw the reviews of people saying how hard it was, but I still underestimated it. Mostly I'd just suggest to be prepared for this hike, especially if you're spending the rest of the day on the mountain afterwards. Bring a spare shirt, you will...More

Take ur time and enjoy the hike. I did it as fast as I could. U can do it! But definitely take water. And buy a t-shirt at the top - gives the specifics -3000 steps, etc. Have fun!
