Very serene and very beautiful place near Grouse Mountain

This is a very beautiful place next to grouse mountain. Lake by the mountains is very beautiful and its a nice place for a good walk or picnic as well. Dam is small but pretty.

Stunning scenery

Walking towards the dam, you can enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the reservoir embracing by snow mountains. When you walk through the dam, you can see the waterfall from the dam running to the pond, so spectacular !

On one day, it didn't rain!
Sep 2019
And with the bright sunshine and clear blue sky, it seemed appropriate to visit this dam. I wasn't terribly excited about the suggestion, but I found it both beautiful and intriguing. The level was very low, however: a sign of the climate crisis?
Beatifully maintained gardens make this visit a delight.

Free Parking, Awesome Park, you can walk the trails and walk onto the Dam's structure itself. Not to be overlooked or missed. Take a lunch for sure to enjoy overlooking the Reservoir lake

A hidden gem

We stumbled across this dam after our Capilano excursions. Very beautiful wildlife, mist, trails, flora and fauna surround this dam.

Hey! Greater Vancouver drinks this water!
May 2019 • Friends
Easy drive to the edge of the Dam location. A great view of the reserved water for the purposes of fresh water to the Greater Vancouver population. Watch when the dam opens and water crashes down the spillway into the lazy river below. Such a fortunate city with this fresh water availability. NO. You cannot boat on the water or partake in any other activity. You can take photos, You can observe the spillway. The water is protected as much as possible from human activity nearby.

great view great hiking and a great place for a picnic

I go here on a regular basis especially on a Sunday night. you're at the base of Grouse Mountain you can look down to the beautiful dam. You can go for a long hike in some old growth forest and then spread out your blanket and have a picnic if you're lucky enough you can get a picnic table and a place to have a barbecue the only thing about that is it's in the shade.

Rampaging Torrent at Cleveland Dam
Jan 2019 • Solo
I heard that there was more water flowing over Cleveland Dam on this day in January (11th) than ever seen before. So, naturally I had to make a quick visit because it's only a 5 minute drive from my house in North Vancouver.
