Great, peaceful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. You can also walk across the dam and stand above the spillway. Plenty of water going over when we were there so quite a sight. You can walk to a lower view point and look back at the dam and spillway which is also good. There are hikes but we didn't... More

Went there twice with my son and he loves the dam! Nice place for a family walk with Hiking trails around. Best in Spring since much more water run down from the dam! Free parking!! A nice Sushi restaurant near by for your to enjoy good food after the activities.

After the bridge we made a left turn at the exit to see what else is there, and we got down, and saw this beautiful park, and dam, it was a sight like the Sound of Music, so beautiful and peaceful.

the dam and fish hatchery are good places to visit when the Capilano bridge is too busy. lots of hikes between them. the only problem is construction on Capilano road.

Five minute drive between Capilano Canyon Fish Hatchery and this amazing water reservoir . . . Look to the north. . . Blue waters and NO Power boats allowed! Look south, the canyon where the Fish Hatchery is . . .

The scenery and whole area was gorgeous. Lots of steps down to see the dam but well worth it. Advise to anyone with mobility issues, bring a walker, cane or anything to assist. The structure was very impressive.

I doubt we would have experienced this unless a local had taken us. I will always remember the huge drop into the canyon and the roar of the falls! What made it unique was seeing a helicopter rescue.

This is located in between the two attractions and is a beautiful spot for stretching your legs or having a picnic. The walk to the dam is really easy and the dam itsel is impressive (mini Hoover dam). The lake is so serene. Nice place to let the kids run around.

We were staying a few blocks away from the dam and we made a quick stop one morning. The dam is nice (we have seen many dams :), so I wouldn't say this is a must see. But the park, lake, the roaring waters from the dam and views of Grouse mountain areas were nice. We liked that this is... More

Short stop over to see the mountain and lake backdrop. Very picturesque. You can go down and see the water rushing down to the Capillano River.
