The market whilst not being that big has a number of food and produce stalls. Foodies will enjoy mooching around looking at the offerings. There are a couple of restaurants upstairs and a couple of other shops too.

The market is a great collection of food vendors and gift shops. I have tried 4 food vendors and found great service and really delightful food. Original and tasty.

This market is excellent for shopping and eating by the water. There are vendors that sell a variety of food in there. And it's right next to the seabus

This is a great place to come and shop or stop for a tasty drink or meal. Sit and relax to take in the view. Access is next to the Seabus terminal or come by bus, as parking is limited during busy times.More

This is a nice seabus trip from downtown Vancouver or a short 20 minute drive. There are lots of restaurants and boutique shops. The view of downtown at sunset is exquisite and can be observed nicely from the top landing at the market.

Vancouver Trip Report - September, 2014 (4 Replies)
Recently spent four days in Vancouver, and here are comments on the trip: Hotels – Rosewood Georgia – very centrally located; staff very professional and knowledgeable; 4th floor bar/restaurant - fun A sampling of sites/activities: Granville Market/Edible Canada Tour – Very well done; Mr. Lee’s warm donuts are like eating sugar and air! Chapters – good source for local books Museum of Anthropology – very well done; as is the Museum Store. A special note: The high quantity and quality...More

Glad you enjoyed your time here..see you didn't opt for either hotel you first asked about . The Rosewood is excellent in many ways :) Also nice you made it over to Commercial Drive (the Drive). We often take visitors to Havana for brunch or late lunch and Drive browsing. You covered a fair amount of ground in your 4 days and managed to hit 4 restaurants that are personal favorites.. .I'm sure Mufti will be along to link your TR to the reports.

September/October Itinerary (19 Replies)
Firstly, thank you to everyone who has answered my questions so kindly over the past few days. I will be spending 7.5 days in Vancouver, although I will be needing to work at least half a day for 4 of the days whilst there. Here is what I have planned (weather permitting). 1 full day: Grouse Mountain + zipline, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Lonsdale Quay Market 1 full day: bike Stanley Park, False Creek and Granville Island 1 full day: whale watching --> worth it? I read October...More

The whales are orcas and well south of the city crossing Georgia Strait. Fun on a calm, clear day. Perhaps not so if windy or rainy. I wouldn't include it in my plans unless I built in flexibility.
