We had a tremendous experience touring Haida Gwaii with Bluewater for a week in the summer 2019. Every aspect of the trip was exceptional including the crew leadership, vessel, itinerary, safety, food, nature guidance and information, Haida history and culture, daily kayak and hiking excursions, and the fellow passengers. We saw jumping orcas and other whales, birdlife and sea creatures galore, endless stunning Pacific coastal scenery. I can't recommend this trip and this company highly enough! Dr. M. Bow

Thank you for the kind words! Haida Gwaii is truly an incredible place. Between the ample wildlife and rich Haida culture, there's never a dull moment on this adventure. We're so happy you were able to join us for the experience. All the best. Rachel

On our fourth trip to Vancouver Island I guess I was already addicted, but the Great Bear Rainforest with Bluewater Adventures took the whole experience to a completely new level. I still don’t have the words to describe the solitude and beauty of the Great Bear Rainforest you just have to experience it.

This was my first trip with Bluewater and my wife's second. I have worked for outfitting companies in both Ontario and B.C. and I always strived to provide my clients with an experience that would last a lifetime and understand how difficult it can be to meet every clients wishes. Bluewater Adventures do this plus some. Without a shadow of doubt Bluewater is the ONLY way to see the Inside Passage/ S.E.Alaska/West Coast of B.C. and have that "Trip of lifetime". The first class knowledge and experience of the crew allows clients to see and experience West Coast wilderness in a way that cannot be equalled. The low passenger numbers provides a staff to passenger ratio of 1:2 / 1:3 making for a very personalised trip and exceptional wildlife viewing both on land and water. The food was top notch with every dietary need adequately catered for. Wildlife viewing beyond comparison from the moment you leave the harbour with the onboard naturalist providing live commentary and information on what is being viewed. Passenger Safety is paramount and you are made to feel at ease and safe the entire time. I cannot recommend the experience highly enough and if S.E. Alaska / West Coast B.C. is not on your bucket list then put it there and do it through Bluewater, you will not be disappointed.

Wow. Thank you so much for the glowing review!! We really do try to do everything in our capabilities to go above and beyond for our clients. The natural beauty of our rugged coast lines alreadydoes most of the work for us, but between the boats, the crew and our always spectacular guests - our trips truly are magical. We're very happy you were able to travel with us and thank you again. All the best. Rachel

We had a wonderful week cruising the BC coast between Kitimat and Bella Bella in the Great Bear Rainforest. The weather was wet, but the timing was perfect for salmon spawning which in turn attracts the bears to the estuaries. If you want to see bears you need to go in the fall when the salmon are spawning. You also need to be prepared with good rain gear as you don't want to miss any of the outings off the boat. Every day we saw whales and had the most amazing close up encounters observing Kermode (Spirit Bear), Black and Grizzly bears. When anchored we explored the areas around the boat by kayak and were rewarded with seeing wolves and bald eagles. Every time we returned to the boat we were served fresh warm baking and hot drinks. The food, thanks to Annie, was absolutely amazing. She catered to a wide variety of diets (vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, dairy free) effortlessly and meals were a highlight of each and every day. Halibut, Rack of Lamb, Fresh Dungeness Crab, Salmon, delicious side dishes all made from local fresh ingredients were the norm. Our group was made up of myself, my husband and three adult children. We all had our own space with our own cabins and the wildlife encounters, meals and scenery kept everyone very happy. This trip appealed to every one of us and we all returned raving about what we'd seen and excited to share our photos with friends and family. The skipper, biologist, mate and chef all added positively to making our trip one in a lifetime. Highly recommended.

Ann Marie - what a wonderful description of your experience. I'm reliving my adventures with Bluewater reading your account. Nothing like returning to the boat after hanging out in the rain having an incredible wildlife viewing experience and there' fresh baked goods and coffee/tea that you can enjoy upon arrival to the vessel <3. The Great Bear Rainforest is a truly wild place. We are so happy you were able to experience to magic of this area with us. Wishing you well. Rachel

We took the Great Bear Rainforest tour in British Columbia. This was magnificant! Bears. In the wild. Need I say more? The vessel was wonderful. The crew could not possibly have been better. The sights were so perfect. The weather was sometimes a bit cloudy with few sprinkles, but that was anticipated and planned for so it was no big deal. I would return in a heartbeat. We made friends on that trip that we remain in contact with!
