The animal refuge is engraved within a beautiful natural surrounding of juciy green meadows, forest and fields. Some animals such as cows, ponys and goats walk freely around and come to you to get some huggings, others, especially the bigger horses, are in their boxes or in their farms. It seems that there is some afford being made to give... More

Went here with our 2 years old son, and fantastic to see all animals wondering around. The staffs are friendly. The food is OK, but not the best to find, all vegetarian, that wasn't obvious when we ordered...but the beer was fab.

Expensive entry fees for an uninspiring day out. I love animals and my wife and I are vegetarians but few of the animals seemed happy, most looked bored and stressed. The restaurant was terrible; poor quality food and slow service.

This is a very interesting place to visit especially with children to learn more about nature and animals. There is even a small restaurant with vegan/vegetarian food. Take your time, the area is really large!

I have just returned from an incredible visit to - and I never use this word - a magical place. Gut Aiderbichl is an animal sanctuary; we visited their flagship farm outside Salzburg, but they have several other locations throughout Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and France. This place is basically an animal's (and animal lover's) vision of Heaven on Earth: Thousands... More

well, not really, but it is sad to view the injured and rescued animals, particularly the badly treated donkeys that have been rescued. apart from that, it is a very impressive sanctuary. we went there with our two grandchildren, who loved the ability to get amongst the animals, even if one of the geese was a bit over enthusiastic with... If you, or your kids enjoy animals, this is the place to go. This beautiful animal sanctuary helps abandoned and abused animals of all kinds. The small entrance fee goes to provided the best possible care and life for all the animals living on the farm. Burli the deer is the star attraction and does not disappoint. There are dozens... A great experience for adults and children alike, spending a great day up close with so many good-natured animals in lovely scenery on a hill in fresh air. It is so relaxing in an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. It fills your heart with joy and is balm for the soul. Enjoy your time there and spend a hassle-free day... More

We spent a few hours at this animal farm / shelter on a sunny afternoon in August. It was just spectacular! I had anticipated there to be plenty of animals, but not to have them wondering around free and loose just waiting to be petted. It was a wonderful experience. Kids would just love this place, as well as the... More

My friend took me to this lovely animal sanctuary in Austria where the animals are well cared for and many are free to wander about the place. Horses, donkeys, rabbits, dogs, cats, geese, chickens, peacocks, and pigs are among the residents. You can walk the grounds and see them at your leisure. However, be aware that the place does not...
