Hike in park starts out of town [after all the souvenir shops on the main road]. Very nice large rocks here and there in the park [see pic]. I then went out of the park, ending up in Yaremche again [but on the complete opposite end of the town after crossing a little woorden bridge --see photo-- over the river] via a circa 4 km trail [not shown on the trail map they give you when you enter the park; I did not meet any other walker at all] which stays up high until decent starts [last end a bit tricky due to mud on the trail]. The littlle trail map is also in English btw.

This hike took us two hours, and we thought it was moderately difficult, although for avid hikers it could be done in less time. There were a couple of sections that were very rocky, and we though the footing was challenging in these areas. There were no sections that required scrambling over rocks, but likewise, there were not many flat sections. I was very glad I had on hiking boots.

The Rocks of Dovbush is a rock and cave complex, which is very important for history of Ukraine. It is located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. The name of this complex comes from Oleksa Dovbush, who was a leader of the opryshky movement. There are many interesting and mystical legends about treasure of Dovbush, which was hidden there many years ago. Also in this place you can see very beautiful and exciting views of mountains, forest and the waterfall, which is located near the complex.

We took two little boys with us on this hike and it was not too easy, but not overly difficult for them, i.e., perfect for a family hike. The trail is marked professionally and for boys age 8 and 9, they enjoyed looking for the next marker to see where we were supposed to go. There are some very nice views at a number of points long the trail which used to be called the Dovbush Caves because apparently this Robin Hood-like Ukrainian rebel hid with his men in the caves among the huge rocks that can be visited today. There are placards with poems (in Ukrainian) telling Oleksa Dovbush's story at various key points along the way. For more serious hikers (one couple did this with a baby in arms and a five-year-old boy), the trail continues on to Makovytsia, a nearby hill that many friends have highly recommended. The Dovbush trail is about 2.5 km and the hike to Makovytsia adds another 5-6 km.

I enjoyed this easy hike in autumn. Marked routes, not a large elevation gain and many place for sitting make this trail available for all people

The 25 hrv entry fee is well worth it! For able bodies travelers, this hike offers spectacular scenery mixed with the lore of Olksa Dovbush. One can imagine in each rock crevice a stack of loot. You can do this hike in 90 minutes total but take your time and a lot of photos... A great afternoon adventure.

We were here in December, the walking route is around 3 km in total, not very exhausting even for elder people. A few spots were very slippery so we should be very careful, but manageable. We would recommend visiting!

What a nice hike this was. I'd say it would rate as easy to medium, you need decent shoes but probably not necessary for actual boots as the round is rocky and covered in roots but it's not scrambling or climbing here. The forest has some interesting signs that relate the story of Dovbush and the peasant army he lead, probably the closes English equivalent would be Robin Hood and are very interesting. It was quiet when we ere there and the sound of the river below and the birdsong was very comforting. The rocks themselves rise out of the forest around 1.5 km in, (I'd say the whole loop of the trail is maybe 2 km max), the trails are well maintained and although there is some litter it's not too bad. You can really imagine Dovbush hiding out here and it's a good walk to take. I'm far from fit and I managed the hike with no problems but I do think this might be too much for people with walking difficulties or very young children. There is an easy to find entrance, it does say there is a charge to enter on the sign, but when we arrived there was no one I the ticket office.

A place for a nice mountain walk - not too difficult! Dovbush was a local Robin Hood, like Polish or Slovak Janosik, and this is supposedly his hiding place.

It's not so far from the center of yaremche. Only 30 minutes walk. Nearby the new Romantic Spa hotel. Entrance 20 grivna for adult. Nice walk in a very special forrest with a lot of rock formations and a beautiful story about a so called robin hood.wonderful walking and relaxing. When you decide to do the whole traject, the last part is walking up the hill about 3,2 km

Мы поднимались с дочкой 7,5 лет. Да, надо быть внимательным, но подъем вполне по силам ребенку. И она с удовольствием лазила по самим скалам.
