We were visiting Auckland for a day from the Queen Mary 2 and looking for some High Speed Wifi to get over the slow and expensive connection on Cunard. We went to the Auckland Library - just a few blocks walk along Queen St from the waterfront, and asked at the front desk. They were helpful, welcoming, and suggested quiet... More

It is a really good library, a lot of collections, various themes, big library with three spacious floors space, very useful place for information and study, free wi-fi, free computers for Aucklanders (with Library Card) and also has a Cafe. The location is good next to a nice park, Albert Park, very close to Queens Street, main street of the... More

You have everything you need to spend time, even with little ones. Free wifi, a cafe on site for grown ups. Great interior for little ones - my older Pre-schooler son loves reading books in cave like (cushionny one!) sitting area. Staffs are kind and helpful. I used to visit there as a student - now I bring my family.

Don't pay for wifi in rip off hotels. Go to any Library in New Zealand for free fast wifi. Central Library in Auckland very good for free wifi. Check out opening and closing times.

The library is brilliant! 5 star in fact. An abundance of written and visual information within: books, CD's, DVD's, magazines, newspapers, archives, etc. I used to visit here, the central library often (twice a month. It was a haven) but have not visited now for well over 18mths. The carparking outside the library (which aided my ability to quickly pick... More

Staff always very helpful friendly and cheerful (even when I've seen awful customers being rude to them! ) great Internet access, printers always working, plenty of newspaper's and some quiet areas. Recently been attending some of the workshops and classes too. Excellent community stuff :-)

Traveling a lot, we try to use wifi where we can. For free. Chicago public libraries were put to shame. Auckland wifi lightning fast. Lots of toilets. Piece of cake. Auckland I'd move to you if you took me.
