I have been to visit this winery several times and have come away from something different each time. We were blessed to have Tamás take us around. He has been with the winery 6 years and knows every tale story and secret of the place.
The tour started in their newly renovated beautiful wine room (love the fireplace), and then after sampling the first 3 wines we walked through the winery.
The tour ends up in the reserve room, which is always fascinating!
Thanks Tamás, and Athus for the special wine!

Gere Attila Winery is a must to check out while you are staying in Villany or in the neighbouring area.
It is very impressing! A must to do activity!

We stayed at the Gere owned hotel in town, winery is a 5-minute walk. We were pleasantly surprised the tour was given by Mrs Gere herself (in German) and it was great to hear the family story first hand and understand how the business has grown in the past 30 years. Certainly worth a visit!

Nice little wine tasting tour at Gere Attila cellar. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the wines of course were great.
It is a modern cellar but very nicely build.

We had there team building weekend and we had absolutely perfect three days. Whole Villany is beautiful and Gere Winery is gem of wine street in that small town. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Place is quiet. Food and wine are excellent, visit to cellar is something you must do. City Pecs is not far away and is excellent choice for one day tour. My final impression is that you simply should visit this place to feel its charm.

We had an informative visit around the modern facilities with an enthusiastic guide and a good range of wines to taste and buy.

If you want to learn about wine don't miss this spot. You will be guided through their selection with a great sense of humour and even more knowledge. The insider stories and jokes of the region will make your wine tasting truly special. Order some food with your selection and watch out for Master Gere.

I have been here with my boyfriend and friends. The hotel staff and the SPA team are lovely and very helpful. Also the room is great. However when we have been there to ask if we could have had dinner we have been told that we couldn't get a table in the restaurant even though there were 3 free tables not booked. What the waiter offered us was a table in the EMPTY bar with the same menu. I am a restaurant manager my self in a high standard hotel restaurant in London and you I always try to exceed we the guests expectations. I suggested to add a chair on a table of 4 and make it for 5 as we were 5 of us. The waiter was very helpless and told us a strict NO as they did not want to work more then they were. The restaurant was almost full at 8pm and there were 3 free tables. I asked if the free tables were booked and the waiter said: "NO but I can not add a chair on a table set for 4 to make a table of 5". We were hotel guests but they did not care. The waiter seemed like didn't want to go an extra mile to meet Hotel guests expectations. Very disappointing attitude from the restaurant staff.
The SPA was great!! Thank you so much for the great Hot Stone massage!! The therapist was the best ever!

As part of the gourmet package at the Gere Crocus Hotel we had a tour of this winery with a 6 tier wine tasting. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and would highly recommend it, either as part of the package or as a standalone experience.
The tour included a look at the processing areas, bottling area and the cellar (including the special vintage bottles) and we tasted 6 wines on our way around, including the premium Kopar. Visitors should be aware that this region produces mainly (excellent) red wines and that during this tour you are walking/touring and drinking at the same time - it's not a tour of the winery and then a sit-down in-depth tasting. Also be aware if you have mobility issues that you are on your feet for +/- 1.5 hours.
The staff were highly accommodating and provided a good base amount of information about both the winery, the family and their history of wine making, and the wines we drank on our way around the complex. Our guide was excellent (annoyingly I forgot his name) and dealt with our fairly large and mixed group well and was very receptive to questions. The staff were also very helpful regarding a friend in our group who was on crutches and needed a bit more assistance.
Highly recommended and I hope to return again in the future!
