We had an absolutely perfect experience at Sauska 48. Aperitif watching the sun go down over the mountain; great advice on wine pairing with the meal and most of all: food at Michelin star level! I would recommend to anyone in the area who enjoys good food to put it on the liat

We went for the premium wine tasting, which was a great experience, the location is beautiful and there is great attention to detail, very knowledgable staff. We bought quite a few bottles of wine also.

2 negative points: You get lost when you get there and have no idea where the entrance is... perhaps a sign on the terrace would help to make you feel less like an idiot walking around trying to get in. Also, since there is only food from Wednesday onwards.. I deliberately called to ask if they had something small to eat with the tasting, they said there will be pogacsa - so I didn't bother bringing anything with me. After our 4-5th glass of wine I've asked our waiter ..as I was getting a little drunk he said the kitchen was closed and they have nothing. For a place of this caliber, it is a shocking they can't get some bread or a couple of pieces of something from a bakery. Especially with a premium wine tasting. This was bad. Other than that, I'd return

We had a very nice afternoon in Sauska, the service was excellent and the food were tasty. The wines were very beautiful too. The only dish we didn’t like was the steak, the side dish was too simple and the meat was not as good as expected. However, we warmly recommend the place to everybody! And definitely we will come back !

We visited this winery and had a wine tasting of several of their wines. The setting of the place is very nice, wines are among the best we tried in Villany and service was nice and professional. They served us some small warm cheese bread with the wine that was very nice.

We went to this Pecs to visit the Vasarely museum so we thought we would visit Vilany winery.

The dinner, the people, the views were a dream. We enjoyed the scenery while eating a scrumptious dinner and drinking fabulous wines. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Hungary.

Traveled all around Hungary and Sauska was definitely the top experience. Breathtaking views, incredible service, fantastic food, and incredible wine. Couldn’t have asked for more.

We tested 9 wines together with appetizers and desserts served by a very knowledgeable server, who provided excellent wine parings. The atmosphere
was very Napa as was the decor and outdoor seating. Wish we have more time to go back for another perfect food and wine experience which we all enjoyed very much.
Highly recommend and we will be back.

Amazing design and service. Sure the wines are very good, and the food is excellent too. There are many inventive design elements and unexpected surprises. The restaurant has a view on the vineyards and local houses, and it looks very nice even in midwinter, partly because of some good gardener. A chimney, real logs burning. One an imagine that the place is nicer in other seasons with its terraces, modern sculptures, and equipment. Super clean but not sterile. But what happens less in Hungary is intelligent service. We were on a winter Sunday and there were no people outside and the entrance did not look like an entrance to a restaurant, but someone came out of the house and smiled and waited until she caught our attention and said that the entrance is from upstairs in winter. So not intrusive and not negligent either. We arrived from a weekend in the countryside and nearby thermal bath in Siklos and sure were very far from being properly dressed for a Sunday lunch in such an elegant place. We ended up talking a lot about the place and wines with the waiter Krisztian, who did an excellent job.

We spent a lovely evening at the restaurant. We were lucky enough to get the two seats right at the counter in front of the open kitchen. Besides the inspired food and flawless wines, we particularly enjoyed the conversation with Chef Attila, which made this evening the highlight of our stay in Villany.

Visited with a party of 40 from a river cruise down the Danube. All Germans in the group, except me - a Brit. Got there in a large bus and received a great welcome with an extensive visit to all the modern parts of the new buildings before going up the lift to the very nicely furnished tasting room. Tried 6 wines and was amazed by the overall quality, in view of the low prices being asked. The group enjoyed them all, but their rosay was the most liked. I bought a bottle for 7 Euros as they are outside the Eurozone I had to negotiate that price. Cuve 113 was excellent, as was the cabernet sauvignon. We did not taste the cabernet franc as it was highly priced and praised by the male lecturer who said it was his favourite wine of the list of more than 30 wines.
They also have a winery in the Tokay part of Hungary [not visited] but these wines are still available in Villany. Overall a lovely visit not to be missed by wine lovers.
