Redwings Oxhill is currently home to over 80 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. The centre's staff offer regular 'Walk and Talk' tours and horse care demonstrations, while the Information Centre provides an opportunity to find out a little more about all things horsey. On site there is a cafe serving tasty refreshments as well as a gift shop for souvenirs of your visit, proceeds of which go to support the hundreds of equines in the charity's care.

While visiting Redwings Oxhill, you may like to support the work of Redwings by sponsoring one of their friendly resident Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year's membership to the Redwings Adoption Club costs just £12.50! Oxhill's Adoption Stars include Major a stunning Shire cross, Wensley a mischievous miniature Shetland, and an entire herd of donkeys all waiting to meet you!

Redwings Oxhill is open daily from 10am to 4pm March to November. Winter opening hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm.

Had a wonderful day at Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Horses all had a good looking coat and heathly looking hooves - were well fed and were kept in groups with lots of social contact. Nicely presented information on correct feeding, handling of horses including general information - not only for horse lovers. Personal information with photos and life storys of various... More

Had a lovely afternoon out here, so far have visited 3 times and will be visiting again soon. Horses and ponies are very well cared for and look really happy. Nice gift shop with a wide variety of gifts and souvenirs at reasonable prices. Good sized car park. Nice toilets. Staff pleasant and friendly

Perfect for horse and donkey lovers- so hearwarming to see previously neglected animals being so well cared for. Staff very nice , a good coffee shop and gift shop. Very clean and ideal to while away a couple of hours for all ages. A small play area for tinies too !

Visited on a very cold and windy day with my 14 and 3 year olds. We all had a great time. Loads of open space, lots of very knowledgeable staff and beautiful, gently horses, ponies and donkeys. Information around the site explains everything and allows kids and adults to learn and appreciate. Slight scared of the bigger horses, but they... More

It does take only an hour or so to walk round but there are some info points to learn a little about horses etc. Free entry but its good to give a little in the envelope they... More

First time to Redwings on Sunday with my wife and brother plus 2 teenage girls. All really loved it. Horses & donkeys magnificent and really friendly. Staff knowledgeable & approachable - made trip very interesting. On top of this there is a great cafe and gift shop - all for a small donation. Can't beat it especially on a sunny... More

Popped in to see the horses and donkeys. There is no entrance charge but donations are of course welcomed. It is all open air, we were lucky that all the horses and donkeys were in the paddocks on our visit, you are encouraged to stroke them and it was good to read the information about how they came to be...
