Our family of 5 did the Grimsel canyoning tour with Ted, Florin, and Lou (the official photographer). This trip was the highlight of our European holiday and I can't say enough wonderful things. Passive rappelling, zip lining, slides, jumps, and a Little hiking through the river bed. You start with a 50 meter passive rappel down a pretty sheer cliff.... More

Most people go for the 60 meter jump from cranes, this is much much better!!! 134 meter jump beautiful view ! Also recomend the canyon swing where you fall really fast..feeling hot?jump to cool down a few meters above the glacier water, when you get down, you can visit the glacier 😉. If i have the time i want to try the canyoning... More

Rafting was fun, going through the view of the landscape made it extraordinary. I wish it had been more dangerous to add more to the fun, but it was still very good and refreshing. A special thank you to our Alex who was extremely energetic and fun to have as a guider, and Matthew the photographer for the great pictures.

Guides: I'd bet guides across all companies in Interlaken are competitive in the sense of all being top notch when it comes to having fun, being safe and friendliness. My guides (Owen & Clyde?-both Kiwis :D) were great- fun to chat with, entertaining, and knowledgeable about Switzerland and things going on around the world. Companies: The main difference I see... I went canyoning at Grimsel and I had a good time but it wasn't really what I was expecting. I thought there would be more cliff jumping and sliding but you mostly walk through the canyon for an hour. There were jumps but they weren't that high (10ft at most if that). You slide down rocks for a split second.... More

Hi Katie - this canyon is a fun day out for most people, and we are sorry you did not enjoy it. If you wanted more action you should have booked the Chli Schliere extreme canyon which sounds like it would have been more your thing. Enjoy the rest of your travels! More

The experience was well worth the cost! We were able to book the trip from our hostel and get picked up from the hostel which made it extremely convenient. You get fitted for gear at the main facility, but you do not put it on until you are at the canyon since the gear would be uncomfortable to sit in... More

Spent 3 days in Interlaken, 2 of which were spent river rafting and canyoning with the incredible Alpin Raft crew. Sven led our rafting adventure- he was as knowledgable as he was fun. We canyoned with Ted, who was just as interesting and well-versed in his craft. The trips aren't cheap, but they're worth it.
