    Huskies in the Snow
Absolutely stellar experience, the dogs are well looked-after, really friendly and excitable. An option for one to drive and one to be passenger but our preference was to both be passengers and we were driven through a winter wonderland. Wrap up warm it’s cold!

An adventure of a lifetime 🥰🥰
My husband & I went on a tour this week. It was the most amazing adventure we've ever had. We received a warm welcome from our guides Chloé & Maierl (I hope I spelled this correctly 🤔) & of course all their beautiful dogs. There was so much fresh snow, so the dogs had to work hard to create a path. They were amazing. They had so much strength & energy. You just couldn't stop them!! 🐾🐾🐾🛷🛷🛷 You could really see that they just wanted to run 🥰 When it got a little steeper, we helped them, of course. Afterward, we got to cuddle with them & put them back in their kennels & even give them a nice meaty treat 🍖. They deserved this after all their hard work. I wish I could have stayed longer or even taken the dogs with me 🥰🥰🥰 I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a winter adventure 🛷🐾🐕

    Lots of fun
We had a great time at Senja Husky Adventure! We had just gotten about a foot of snow the night before and these dogs were having a ball with us. It’s definitely a work out so prepare to be pushing and running with the sled if you’re driving. They have everything you need to keep warm if you aren’t prepared for the weather or want to wear their full snow suit. We were given ample time to sled, take a break, pet the dogs, take photos, have some tea and help the dogs out of their harnesses and feed them. We learned a lot and even ended the night with a northern lights appearance which was brought to our attention by the leader of our tour!1000% recommend!

    Once in a lifetime experience
Amazing experience for my family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 12 and 5. We arrived 15 minutes late because Google maps brought us 25km the wrong way to finnsnes instead of ottemo. Beware of this. The hosts were very understanding but the dogs were very eager to get going. Nothing felt rushed. The dogs are amazing and all they want to do is run. Incredibly friendly dogs even to my 5 year old. If you are a dog lover this is a must for you. 42 dogs on site. The only problem now is trying to persuade my 12 year old girl that we don’t need 42 dogs.

    Amazing Husky experience!
Absolute amazing Husky sledging experience. Went with my mum who has limited mobility and the owners were so lovely and really helpful. The doge are really well cared for and very friendly, the whole experience was great!

Booked for 4 people a week in advance of our trip to Norway. At 9.30pm the night before our experience was due to happen (less than 12 hours notice) I got a phone message saying our husky sledging was cancelled! Due to broken equipment apparently, surely if this was the case more notice could have been given, we planned our days around this experience. Didn't seem a plausible or believable reason to us! It was a very long awaited once in a lifetime holiday for us and to have this cancelled with so little notice left us very angry and disappointed! This was 4 days ago and despite being told a refund has been issued I haven't received it yet! The message I got was quite abrupt. The conclusion we have cone to is he didn't want to take us basically. Poor experience, poor reason. Not at all happy and would not recommend and I'd certainly not deal with this person again. This was cancelled on Friday 25th Nov, experience was due 26th Nov, review written from back home on Mon 28th November 2022.

Best dog sledding experience ever! Very authentic experience, you get to ride and also drive the sled.. unfortunately I was a horrible driver due to a recent injury so I was scared to drive. Jonny’s instructions were clear and all the dogs are loving and friendly. Would highly recommend if you’re in Senja!

Host was very prompt and called to confirm the tour few days before we arrived. We had warm suits, shoes and gloves offered to us which kept us warm from the wind and snow. He gave us a through lesson on how to use the brakes and controlling the cart. We spent time playing with the dogs and he introduced us the names and characteristics of each dog. We can see how well taken care are the dogs and how much he loved them. He then bought us out into the wilderness and onto the paths, checking with us now and then and making sure we are fine. After 45mins of carting, we were given the chance of bringing the dogs back to their kennels and pat them. We then have tea, coffee together around a fire and with some of the dogs. We spent more time chatting and learning more about the animals and life in Norway. We have done huskies sledding and this is the best! The dogs were clean and loving, the living conditions of the dogs were nice and doesn’t smell. Host was friendly and experienced.

The pictures look lovely and very tempting to book, with lots of positive reviews on Trip Advisor and elsewhere, but beware. If, like us, you are unlucky and wet weather like that at the end of February/start of March 2023 on Senja means that your booking is cancelled the day before by the proprietor, Jonny, with the promise of a full refund as per the contract, then do not expect to hear from him again. This was our experience, and repeated contacts chasing the promised refund elicited no response whatsoever. So if you choose to book, we wish you well, but if you are unlucky enough to get cancelled by the proprietor, don't expect to see your money again.

We had the best time getting to drive our own dog sled! Jonny is so personable, kind and patient, and we enjoyed sitting and talking with him after the ride almost as much as we enjoyed the ride itself! Upon arrival, Jonny offered us warm suits to change into and then we were encouraged to pet the dogs and give them love... they were so well behaved! After some instruction on how to drive, we were off! My husband and I each drive our own and the kids sat on our sled. When we got back, we all helped unhitch the teams and were able to enjoy a warm drink and cookies with Jonny as we learned a lot about him and his business. Everyone had the best time and we are so thankful for the all around great experience!

My friend and I spent a day dog sledding with Johnny and his dogs. They provide warm Arctic suits and give you a little lesson before you take off. Johnny is very patient as you get comfortable driving the sled. Afterward we got to sit with him, warm up and enjoy some hot tea while telling stories and cuddling with some of his dogs. Highly recommend! It’s the adventure of a lifetime!

. To be honest, i have to admit, that i'm really scared with husky. Unfortunately, Husky Dog Sleeding has been my dream for a very long time. On 8th of December, my dream was fulfilled with Senja Husky Adventure.
Thanks to Jonny and his dog for the great and unforgettable memories. We were enjoyed with the husky and beautiful landscape. The huskies well behaved, sooo cute and so eager to run.

Cold. It is very cold. So, Jonny provided us with snowsuits, gloves and boots. After sleeding, we warmed up in nice hut with hot tea and coffee, and learned about huskies life.

Jonny, very nice person, professional and husky lovers. He treat the husky like his children. Speechless.

This activities value for money. And the experience we have, cant describe with any words. Highly recommended Senja Husky Adventure.

Thanks again Johnny and husky for this wonderful experience. Happy New Year. May this new year bring you much love, good health and success.

We were the first guests of winter season so the dogs were very excited to take us sledding. There was not much snow yet and some parts were a little challenging but it was fun. Our host took good care of us and made sure everyone had a good experience. The dogs are very friendly and cuddly and we really enjoyed spending time with them. Senja island is beautiful.
