This was the perfect addition to our Edgewood Resort / South Tahoe vacation. The Edgewood didn’t suggest Mile High Charters. They suggested another captain who was located just a bit closer in the touristy Ski Run Marina. But the Edgewood’s complimentary resort shuttle had no trouble taking us the short distance to Mile High Charter’s marina. I’m so glad I did my homework, read reviews, and made my own gut decision about choosing a charter operation. Joby made the day perfect for my family of four with two young kids! We caught lots of fish and had tons of fun with a guy who clearly loves what he does, and is a total professional in every aspect! Beyond the outstanding fishing we learned so much about the history and local knowledge of this beautiful place from a lifelong native. Highly recommend!

4 adults and 2 kids went for a half day in the afternoon. Booking was easy and they were flexible as we added more people. Parking at the marina can be difficult. The boat has good indoor space, water and snacks with a cooler and there was plenty of space to fish even with 6 people. We caught several lake trout and got them cooked up for dinner. Excellent!

Captain Justin took my 16 year old son and I out and we had a fantastic time. Everything from booking, to finding the location, to the actual fishing went smoothly. Being out on Lake Tahoe is beautiful by itself, but having a knowledgeable guide to get you where the fish are makes things great.

Booked a trip with Mile High Charters and had captain Justin Cain at the helm. The weather turned out to be 180 degrees from the forecast. We needed up with wind, rain, a changing barometer. All things that could have resulted in a tough trip on the catching side. Justin has this fishery dialed. He put us on active fish in many different places. He worked hard to make sure the trip was memorable. It was and we will be back. Got a nice sack of groceries for the grill in the form of some nice lake trout and had a great time doing it. We will be back. Can't go wrong here with Mile High.

The family and I went out with Mile High Fishing and Captain Joby for a second time. It was the same great experience and fantastic memories for us all. It was a beautiful summer day on Lake Tahoe and we hit some new spots. We didn't catch the max but had a great time! We will be back again and have another great outting!

This is our second fishing trip with Mile High Fishing Charters. And it was another fun and successful trip. Our guide both times was Justin Cain. He did an excellent job getting us on the fish. This trip was a bit slower than the first, but Justin kept working until he found us fish. So, how would I rate this guide and business? Well, we will be back in a few months for another fishing trip with Justin and Mile High again. That says it all.

Today myself, husband and 15 year old daughter went on a charter with another couple and Captain Justin. It was a 4.5 tour in the afternoon. Boat was great . All equipment was good. Captain Justin was very friendly and taught us how to fish! We caught 5 fish! It’s was an amazing day on the water and we will for sure back.

We went fishing today with Joby and had a wonderful time! He put us on fish within the first few minutes of putting our poles in the water. We were out there for five hours and caught our limit of Mackinaw. He is a native and knows Lake Tahoe like his own back yard. If you want to catch some fish and get some local history on the lake and surrounding areas then you need to come see Joby! He even cleans and bags your fish with recommendations on where to go get your fish cooked!

I took the 5:30 am charter and getting started that early was a delight and well worth the fee. The charter captain Joby was professional and prompt and no nonsense, but made my fishing experience enjoyable. I went out to catch fish, but was able to enjoy the beauty of the Lake at sunrise and catch fish. I highly recommend this charter to all of my friends and anyone who is serious about fishing.

This was a great value. Joby was a friendly and knowledgeable captain. Our lines were in the water nearly the entire trip and we caught plenty of fish. To be accurate I caught the first fish of the day within 30 seconds of dropping my first line. On my week in Tahoe I went on two charters with two different outfits. Though the captain on the other charter was great and I had a good experience I preferred Mile High. With the other outfit there were 10 people on the boat, it felt crowded, it was loud and a lot of people caught nothing. The other company felt a lot like a deep sea charter with the big crowded boat and deep sea poles. With Mile High I knew I was on the lake and it was peaceful. I was able to enjoy the amazing views of the area.
